Why Jesus’ Resurrection? April 1, 2018
What is the meaning of Jesus Christ’s resurrection? Is it just an amazing miracle to impress people to believe in Jesus? No! The resurrection of Jesus Christ gives us life in His Father’s presence and life on a daily basis!
I. The Gospel –
A. What God has done to redeem us –
1. Not what we do to gain God’s acceptance
2. Christ died, buried, and rose again. All of this happened in history.
B. Jesus Christ died for our sins to satisfy God’s justice –
1. He rose again because God the Father accepted His sacrifice –
2. We are declared “just” through Jesus Christ’s resurrection –
C. Humble yourself –
1. Resurrection in history –
2. Receive Christ by opening empty hands of faith –
II. The Hope –
A. Without the resurrection, you are still in your sins –
B. Hope of a Future Life –
1. We do not receive all Christ died for in this life
2. This life may result in disappointment, conflict, and sorrow –
3. There is joy yet to come in His presence –
III. The Reign –
A. Christ rules over all things
1. In Adam, all die
2. By faith in Christ all are made alive –
B. The Death of Death –
1. The whole earth is subject to the rule of Christ
2. Death is defeated –
C. The resurrection is about Christ’s life in us

The risen Savior gives life to those who by faith live in Christ.–
