Definition: God does not change (KDY | T4G)
Any change we experience is either for the better or for the worse. Therefore, if God could change, that would imply that he is, in some way, imperfect.
Scripture:

I have spoken, and I will bring it to pass; I have purposed, and I will do it.
“For I the Lord do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed.
So when God desired to show more convincingly to the heirs of the promise the unchangeable character of his purpose, he guaranteed it with an oath,
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.
