Beyond Sunday Part 2

Deut 2:7 For the LORD your God has blessed you in everything you have done. He has watched your every step through this great wilderness. During these forty years, the LORD your God has been with you, and you have lacked nothing."'

Deut 8:2 Remember how the LORD your God led you through the wilderness for these forty years, humbling you and testing you to prove your character, and to find out whether or not you would obey His commands.

INTRODUCTION

Good morning, Southpointe, we are in this series called Beyond Sunday. So Just want to get started this morning. So let’s begin:

The Christian life is a supernatural life, an exciting adventure that begins with a life-changing, spiritual birth.

It begins with faith and continues as a work of faith. Living the Christian life should be above the norm, a life of celebration! Living life beyond Sunday!

"Enlarge your house; build an addition. Spread out your home, and spare no expense!

The Lord called for Israel to expand their vision, This was to done because the Lord was restoring Israel to her former glory.

The prayer of my heart is for the Lord to stretch our vision, enlarge our faith and to expand our goals.

That we would have that faith vision again, a faith vision is one in which we visualizes what God intends to do and acts in harmony with it.

—NOW FAITH IS THE SUBSTANCE OF THINGS HOPED FOR, THE EVIDENCE OF THINGS NOT SEEN;

In the Book of chapter we find that it is filled with men and women who had a faith-vision. They saw by faith and obeyed God’s call.

LIVING ABOVE THE NORM!

In the Book of chapter we find that it is filled with men and women who had a faith-vision. They saw by faith and obeyed God’s call.

If we are to experience that adventure of believing God, then we must living beyond Sunday.

To live Beyond Sunday, I believe there’s four basic things that must happen in our lives, in the life of the church.

1. LEARN TO THINK SUPERNATURALLY

LOOK AT —FOR AS HE THINKETH IN HIS HEART, SO IS HE. EAT AND DRINK SAITH HE TO THEE, BUT HIS HEART IS NOT WITH THEE.

AS A MAN THINKETH IN HIS HEART SO IS HE. We become what we think ,and we determine the way we think as the way we do thing.

So you see, faith by itself isn't enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless.

Now someone may argue, "Some people have faith; others have good deeds." But I say, "How can you show me your faith if you don't have good deeds? I will show you my faith by my good deeds."

What I want you to understand is that THINKING SUPERNATURALLY

Is a two part process.

You can say you have faith all you want but the Word of God declares I will show you my faith by my good deeds.

For the rest of your life make a declaration: I am believing supernaturally but I am also going to be working supernaturally.

It is not by words and thoughts only but THINKING SUPERNATURALLY is do the works also.

So thing to wonder this morning is how can I change my thinking process?

a. We must saturate our minds with God’s Word and make ourselves available to have the mind of Christ.

LIVING ABOVE THE NORM!

First thing , we must saturate our minds with God’s Word and make ourselves available to have the mind of Christ.

You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.

So what is Christ mind-set? What is the attitude that Christ had?

Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God's right hand.

Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.

Set your mind on things above, think worthy thoughts, faith thoughts, and thoughts of praise, worship, and thanksgiving.

Think about the attributes of God, His goodness, greatness, generosity, and glory.

THINK SUPERNATURALLY! Think about who you are spiritually. You are no longer a servant but a son, no longer lost, but found, no longer a prisoner, but a prince, no longer a stranger but a citizen of the kingdom of God.

Think about your spiritual heritage – the hope of your calling, the riches of His glorious heritage, think about the abundant greatness of His power to believers.

Think like a child of the King!

And when we begin to think these thoughts, our vision is stretched. We started living and act and do beyond Sunday.

Knowing the Lord for who He is : Will change our lives. We won’t live just for Sunday, we will live beyond Sunday

2. LEARN TO PLAN SUPERNATURALLY

LIVNG ABOVE THE NORM!

2. LEARN TO PLAN SUPERNATURALLY

This will involve our personal lives, our families, the church, our business, or whatever appeals to our needs for planning.

There is nothing wrong with planning,

We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps.

We should make plans, but count on God to direct us.

Let God reveal His vision to you. This becomes the basis of our faith, then we set our goals, so that they become His goals for our lives.

Planning supernaturally, takes steps, Lord directs our steps, that being our goals. What we must understand is to be faithfully to each steps, be fully prepared for the fulfillment of those goals.

Understand to live beyond Sunday, our faith will be tested, but God is faithful when we trust Him and obey Him.

Planning supernaturally, living beyond Sunday, meaning planning by faith. That being said we should have big plans. God-sized plans.

The plans and goals that God give to us His people have two consistent elements:

1. A world-wide influence

2. A lasting impact

FOR EXAMPLE:

Then God blessed them and said, "Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it.

God ‘s goal to Adam and Eve was to be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and govern it.

God’s goal to Abraham was not just to have a son, but to start a nation

LIVING ABOVE THE NORM!

And to be a blessing to all the families of the earth. ()

Jesus’ goal for the disciples was for them to be witnesses in the power of the Holy Ghost from Jerusalem to the uttermost parts of the earth.

God-sized plans are big plans, supernatural plans , Living beyond Sunday.

If they are small enough for us to do them ourselves, they are not God-sized plans and God will not get involved in them.

But if they are living beyond Sunday’s plans, God-sized plans then God’s intervention will happen.

The Lord God will touch the heart of one man or a group to live beyond Sunday and those that trust and plan and believe God will show up and God will show –out.

3. LEARN TO PRAY SUPERNATURALLY

Supernaturally praying, or praying beyond Sunday morning prayer, is found in:

"I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in Me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.

You can ask for anything in My name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father.

Yes, ask Me for anything in My name, and I will do it!

God gives us the faith to pray for something and as we pray and the more we pray, we start praying beyond the Sunday’s morning’s prayers then our faith grow and we start praying for even greater things.

—VERILY, VERILY, I SAY UNTO YOU, HE THAT BELIEVETH ON ME, THE WORKS THAT I DO SHALL HE DO ALSO; AND GREATER WORKS THAN THESE SHALL HE DO; BECAUSE I GO UNTO MY FATHER (13) AND WHATSOEVER YE SHALL ASK IN MY NAME, THAT WILL I DO,THAT THE FATHER MAY BE GLORIFIED IN THE SON. (14) IF YE SHALL ASK ANY THING IN MY NAME, I WILL DO IT.

God gives us the faith to pray for something and as we pray and the more we pray, we start praying above the norm then our faith grow and we start praying for even greater things.

Then He touched their eyes and said, "Because of your faith, it will happen."

LIVING ABOVE THE NORM!

Everything we say or do in our lives will show the fullness of Christ in our lives.

—THEN TOUCHED HE THEIR EYES, SAYING, ACCORDING TO YOUR FAITH BE IT UNTO YOU.

Everything we say or do in our lives will show the fullness of Christ in our lives.

My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Let me tell this one thing for sure if Christ is alive and well in your lives, then you can pray more than just Sunday morning’s prayer, You can pray beyond Sunday morning’s prayer and you will see results.

Let me tell this one thing for sure if Christ is alive well in your lives, then you can pray above the norm and you will see results.

We can never ask God for too much if our hearts and motives are pure, and if we pray according to the Word and Will of God.

Some one has said, “whatever we envision, whatever we desire, whatever we sincerely believe, and act upon will come to pass, if there is a scriptural authority for it.”

I am challenging you to live beyond Sunday by praying and praying 15 extra minutes a day for the lost, and to pray knowing that God will give you more than you ask for.

Pray, beyond Sunday morning’s prayers.

4. LEARN TO CLAIM SUPERNATURAL RESOURCES

We are not ordinary people. Our lives are joined with the One who spoke the world into existence. We belong to Him who has been given all authority in heaven and earth.

He dwells in us in all His resurrection power. We can claim and when I said claim I mean to stand on the written and spoken word of God.

LIVING ABOVE THE NORM!

To have faith in what God hath spoken and believe that it will come to pass.

I believe that we can stand on:

—I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHICH STRENGTHENETH ME.

—BUT MY GOD SHALL SUPPLY ALL YOUR NEED ACCORDING TO HIS RICHES IN GLORY BY CHRIST JESUS.

Again, this goes back to what I started with: It will take faith and works to live beyond Sunday.

We must act now , we must response now, to the cry of the Spirit of God, God is calling His body, God is calling you as a individual to LIVE beyond Sunday.

We may say I can’t do this but the Spirit said this is right were I want you. Because when you agree you can, then I will.

LIVE beyond Sunday

God has bless you , He know where you are at and where you are going. And He said you will lack nothing, live beyond Sunday.
