“1 See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him. 2 Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is. 3 And all who have this eager expectation will keep themselves pure, just as he is pure.”

God’s love offers hope. Many today are without hope because they do not understand God’s love. As we love God, we have hope in this life and the future life. The closer we live to God the greater this hope will be. As we abide in this love we will be a success in the Christian life.

B. God Instructs us to be Holy, are we making the decisions to become Holy? “… purifieth himself, even as He is pure.” There is something for us to do if we want to be holy: we must cleanse ourselves— instructs us to: “Because we have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that can defile our body or spirit. God’s love is available to all people. However, this love is of little value unless we accept it. This love not only brings hope, it brings joy, peace and satisfaction. It removes all fear—. If we reject this love there will be confusion and problems; there will be heartache and disappointment. Accept His love, and have all you need in Him.
