We talked last week about Building on the foundation of Jesus.

·      Faithfulness is the cement between the living stones. A Relationship is only as good as the faithfulness that keeps it together.

·      God hates unfaithfulness!

Matt 5:27-30

27 "You have heard that it was said to those of old, 'You shall not commit adultery(Be unfaithful).' 28 "But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 29 "If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.

30 "And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.

33 "Again you have heard that it was said to those of old, 'You shall not swear falsely, but shall perform your oaths to the Lord.' 34 "But I say to you, do not swear at all: neither by heaven, for it is God's throne; 35 "nor by the earth, for it is His footstool; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. 36 "Nor shall you swear by your head, because you cannot make one hair white or black.

37 "But let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No,' 'No.' For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.

·      Faithfulness is from the heart, It is part of our character. What we do in our hearts and what we do when no one is looking or there.

·      Not double minded. Yes is Yes and No is No.

Matt 25:14-23

14 For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. 15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; (God only gives us what we can do! I can’t is no excuse!) and straightway took his journey.16 Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents. 17 And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two. 18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money. 19 After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them. 20 And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. 21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. 22 He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. 23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

·      He serves when no one is there and uses what the master gave him. Well God has not given me anything! Hands? Time? The question is not, what he has not given you, But what do you do with what he has given you?

I Jn 4:16-17

16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is,(in our hearts) so are we in this world. (Matt 8:13..as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee.)Matt 9:29 blind men,

·      Our conceptions of God, will define our relationship with him and determine how we see ourselves!

·      How GOD REALLY IS..is one thing! How we perceive him can be another! But the verse says how he is, not how we perceive him!

·      We identify what we have had to what we think we will receive. i.e.. If I had a bad example of Love, Fatherhood, marriage, etc.. I think that is what is real and what I can expect!

·      Where is our good example of faithfulness? There is only one, Jesus! Because we are missing the example of faithfulness let’s look at the example of the Bible!

·      These men understood this concept of the faithfulness of God and it changed the way they lived!

Gen 17:6-7 (Abraham the Moon worshiper)

6 And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee. 7 And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. (KJV)

24 And the LORD appeared unto him the same night, and said, I am the God of Abraham thy father: fear not, for I am with thee, and will bless thee, and multiply thy seed for my servant Abraham's sake.

15 And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of. 16 And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew it not.(KJV)

Gen 39:2-3 Joseph the dreamer)

Exod 3:11-12 Moses in his own strength)

11 And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt? 12 And he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token unto thee, that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain. (KJV)

Exod 33:12-16

12 And Moses said unto the LORD, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight. 13 Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people. 14 And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.

15 And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence. 16 For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? is it not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.
