If you have your copy of God’s word I would encourage you to join me in the 5th Chapter of the book of Ephesians. That was Ephesians chapter 5. I will be reading from Ephesians but I will also reference some other passages throughout my Sermon. But if you would go ahead and join me in the reading of God’s word I will began in verse 22.
Now I’m sure you all are thinking 2 things right about now. The first being, we are about to hear a sermon on marriage. The second is, he hasn’t even been married a year is he really ready to teach us about marriage.
Now often times when this passage is read, you are correct a marriage sermon usually follows. But today I am actually not going to focus on earthly marriage very much in this sermon. I want to use this passage to focus on what Christ is doing in it. That is why I titled this message Christ Adorns His Bride.
Now when I say adorn what do I mean by that word? Webster would define the word adorn as, “to enhance the appearance of especially with beautiful objects”
