Finally, brethren, recognize where your strength comes from

It is the Lord who strengthens you

It is by His might power are you strengthened

How does this happen?

We must be clothed with the proper attire

The Entire Armor of God

Imperative—PUT ON

Why does it matter?

Because we have an enemy

and his plan is to attack us

What is the result of Putting on the armor of God?

That we would stand against the wiles of the devil

Wiles:

Reminder: who is our enemy

not people: flesh and blood

but spiritual powers and wickedness

Reminder/Emphasis-Take up (imperative) the whole armor of God

Reminder-to keep standing

Against the evil day

the day in which the devil throws all he can at you

Keep standing against him

Therefore—because of what was just previously said

The child of God must put on the following pieces of armor
