You need Jesus because...

Gravity holds us down.
The Sun shines.
Nighttime comes.
Seasons change.
People exist.
Groups of people create cultures and cultures influence us.
If the large portions of people are spiritually dead and walking in sin, what is natural for you to do? Follow others.

There also is a spiritual world and the spiritual world has great influence upon us.
The prince of the power of the air and the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience is a reference to Satan.
He is a spiritual being.
He rules an unseen kingdom of darkness that opposes God’s kingdom.
Without Jesus you live in that in that kingdom and follow its leader.
Who does God say to follow?
without him you live in the flesh.

Notice you carry out the desires of the body and mind.
If you feel like it you do it.
If you think about it you do it.
You do what you want rather than living like Jesus.
How did Jesus live?
without him you deserve God’s wrath.

You are a son or daughter of Adam and Eve and by nature we are sinners.
That is what we do.
Because you commit trespasses and sin, because you walk in those trespasses and sins, because you follow the world, because you follow the prince of the air, because you live in the passions of your flesh, you deserved God’s wrath.
