Welcome to Living Word Fellowship. I am so thankful you are here. Today is extra very special. You get not one, not two, not three but 6 preachers up here today. We have a whole panel. So let’s get after it today.
First thank you all for being up here with me once again.
My first question is there anything from last time you were up here that you didn’t get to share? Was there something that you went, I wish that I had said that?
Tell us that moment when you went, God is calling me.
Tell us now, how do you believe telling your story is helping other people and should other people get on board by telling their story?
Any question from the congregation?
Why are they up here? Because there is something about these people up here. All of them. At some point through their life, through their pain, through their troubles, through their trials, through the attacks, through the hell, somewhere in all of that came a revelation. Some crucial juncture of all of our lives there was a hand that came down to us. A thought. A pull. A tug on our hearts that said, I am here and I want to be there for you. Trust me. They did not make it up to this stage on their own. They didn’t make it out with their lives and their futures still intact by their power. They didn’t say no to the world and yes to Jesus because they are special in their own right. They said yes to Jesus because He called them. Much like He is calling you right now. Listen I get it.
To make that decision you have to get past a world of hurt from people. Even people from the church. Even people in your family. You have to drudge through pain of mistake and misfortune. We understand. Sometimes those barriers are a lot to get through. But here is the truth. You ready for this. You don’t have to make it through that alone. He came through it to get to you. It like you are sitting there in all the darkness. If you watch stranger things, you are in the upside down and the hand is coming through the portal to get to you. That’s the amazing part. That hand pulls you out of all that stuff. Oh you still have some remnants on you. You still have some funk on you that needs to be cleaned off. You will still have some scars from your fight and run in with the gorgon but you don’t have to do it alone. Look at this verse.
He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters.
You are drowning in self pity, self loathing, depression, ruin, despair, hatred, bitterness, unforgiveness, unloved, unappreciated, misery, job, money, family issues, marriage issues, business of life, and through all of that. God reached and is reaching through it all to get to you.
“He sent from above, He took me, He drew me out of many waters.
“He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters.
The Psalmist would go on to say in chapter 18
He delivered me from my strong enemy, From those who hated me, For they were too strong for me.
They confronted me in the day of my calamity, But the Lord was my support.
He also brought me out into a broad place; He delivered me because He delighted in me.
Psam 18:17-19
Psalms declares
You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah
I sought the Lord, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears.
Deliver me in Your righteousness, and cause me to escape; Incline Your ear to me, and save me.
Psalm
Stretch out Your hand from above; Rescue me and deliver me out of great waters, From the hand of foreigners,
Shall I go on
The righteous is delivered from trouble, And it comes to the wicked instead.
Proverbs
Some of y’all need this revelation right here. God is not has not and will not forsake you. Don’t you forsake him. You have been running for too long. You have been hiding for awhile.
Come out!!!
Sing to the Lord! Praise the Lord! For He has delivered the life of the poor From the hand of evildoers.
Some of us just need to sing again. We come in here to this place or in your prayer closet so mad at God. We go in and your face and attitude say, I hate God all the while your mouth is trying to proclaim that you love Him. Would any of y’all, enjoy coming to this church if I preached or greeted you like this all the time? Or what about this one? Some of us are so anxious to tell someone our problems but we never tell anyone about our solution. We want to garnish sympathy not solutions.
who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver us; in whom we trust that He will still deliver us,
For we are not writing any other things to you than what you read or understand. Now I trust you will understand, even to the end
2 Corinthians
He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,
Get the revelation. He has delivered you. He has brought you into his kingdom. I love the image of conveyed. We have a thing that is called the conveyor belt. Things that get put on that conveyor belt, are going somewhere right. But the object being moved doesn’t have to do anything. Doesn’t fight it. Doesn’t have to pull itself up by the boot straps. No. God is there doing all of the heavy lifting for you to enter the kingdom. That is the revelation.
There is no one, or no thing that is more powerful than our God. I know if you have been in church you have heard that all the time. But you don’t have the revelation of it because you are still sitting bound by the enemy, bound by your past, bound by your mistrust of the church, and you say I just don’t see God moving. I don’t believe He can help me. I will just have to get right myself. You know when you say as soon as I get right, I’ll come to God and He can have my life.
Here is the truth of that statement. God isn’t big enough to get you right, and He won’t except me being wrong. Both of those statements are complete lies from the Devil. Here is the truth, YOU AREN’T BIG ENOUGH TO GET RIGHT BY YOURSELF! and GOD WANTS YOU JUST AS YOU ARE TO COME TO HIM! He does all the heavy lifting.
What about this problem. It doesn’t matter. What about this sin. It doesn’t matter. What about this life. It doesn’t matter. Well I don’t know if I can trust the church again. It doesn’t matter. Trust the God of the church.
