Partakers
2 Peter 1:4 NKJV
4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
Divine
Nature:
2 Corinthians 3:18 NKJV
18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
2 Corinthians 3:18 (Phillips NT) 18  But all of us who are Christians have no veils on our faces, but reflect like mirrors the glory of the Lord. We are transfigured by the Spirit of the Lord in ever-increasing splendour into his own image.
Ezekiel 28:11–15 NIV
11 The word of the Lord came to me: 12 “Son of man, take up a lament concerning the king of Tyre and say to him: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: “ ‘You were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. 13 You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone adorned you: carnelian, chrysolite and emerald, topaz, onyx and jasper, lapis lazuli, turquoise and beryl. Your settings and mountings were made of gold; on the day you were created they were prepared. 14 You were anointed as a guardian cherub, for so I ordained you. You were on the holy mount of God; you walked among the fiery stones. 15 You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created till wickedness was found in you.
Vs 28:11-14 Reflect the Glory all over the Garden: (What Beauty)

2 Corinthians 3:18
(Phillips NT) 18  But all of us who are Christians have no veils on our faces, but reflect like mirrors the glory of the Lord. We are transfigured by the Spirit of the Lord in ever-increasing splendour into his own image.

Space Challenger Disaster -
O Ring- A small part, but when the conditions changed, The O-ring could not handle the pressure. It ended up as one of the worse disaster’s in the history of the Space Program.
Virtue: Integrity: Excellence of Character
2 Peter 1:16 ESV
16 For we did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
WE WERE EYEWITNESSES OF HIS MAJESTY!
2 Peter 1:17–18 ESV
17 For when he received honor and glory from God the Father, and the voice was borne to him by the Majestic Glory, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased,” 18 we ourselves heard this very voice borne from heaven, for we were with him on the holy mountain.
We heard it. We were with HIM! Peter is putting forth him most powerful Argument.
Campmeeting: Len Mink I WAS THERE.
2 Peter 1:19–20 ESV
19 And we have the prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts, 20 knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone’s own interpretation.
Even though I was there. What I have just shared with you is more real, than even my experiences.
John
1 John 1:1–2 ESV
1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we looked upon and have touched with our hands, concerning the word of life— 2 the life was made manifest, and we have seen it, and testify to it and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was made manifest to us—
THE LIFE : Don’t lose track of what John is talking about. THE LIFE:
Vine’s :Life as God has it.
When Life Shows Up
John 4 Woman of Samaria: A Second Chance is Extended, A Reputation is Healed, A Whole Town is Saved.
John 5 An Invalid of 38 Years : Walks
John 6 A Multitude of Hungry Men. :Eat
John 8 A Women in Need of Mercy: Is Spared
John 9 Man Born Blind “ Sees
John 11 3 Days dead, and stinking :Lives Again
John 18 Malchus: The Agent of the Enemy Walks Right Into the Face of the Goodness of God.
1 John 1:3 ESV
3 that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.
Fellowship
That which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship (partnership, participation, distribution) with us;
and indeed our fellowship (partnership, participation, distribution) is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.
What is John telling us is available?
1 John 1:4 ESV
4 And we are writing these things so that our joy may be complete.
1 John 1:5 ESV
5 This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
That’s it? 3 1/2 Years of walking side by side with Jesus. 3 1/2 Years of Participating with Jesus. 70 + years of Early Church Ministry and this is what your want us to know?
No darkness at all? What is that: Integrity. Excellence.
1 John 1:6 ESV
6 If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
1 John 1:7 ESV
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.
AS HE IS IN THE LIGHT:
This is not the goal. This it the base line.
This is Heaven’s expectation of me.
1 John 1:7 ESV
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.
How many of us have already blown it?
The answer is in verse 8
1 John 1:8 ESV
8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
Possibly the Most Miss-Used Christian Verse in the Bible
1 John 1:9 ESV
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
This is not a “I’m going to do what I want, then say God I’m sorry, and everything is going be fine. “ scripture.
That scripture does not exist.
Look at confess:
To Agree with: To admit. To say the same thing.
When I come into agreement that I was wrong. I am no longer trying to justify my position.
No matter how badly I have been wronged. No matter how unfair it is.
Too much is at stake.

Hebrews 11:8–10 ESV
8 By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place that he was to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. 9 By faith he went to live in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, heirs with him of the same promise. 10 For he was looking forward to the city that has foundations, whose designer and builder is God.
Hebrews 11:11 ESV
11 By faith Sarah herself received power to conceive, even when she was past the age, since she considered him faithful who had promised.
Review:
Genesis 12:10–11 ESV
10 Now there was a famine in the land. So Abram went down to Egypt to sojourn there, for the famine was severe in the land. 11 When he was about to enter Egypt, he said to Sarai his wife, “I know that you are a woman beautiful in appearance,
Genesis 12:12 ESV
12 and when the Egyptians see you, they will say, ‘This is his wife.’ Then they will kill me, but they will let you live.
Genesis 12:13 ESV
13 Say you are my sister, that it may go well with me because of you, and that my life may be spared for your sake.”
What She Heard:
Tell them you are my sister. They may take you away from me. I may never see you again. You may have to sleep with the Pharoah. Don’t worry. You can’t get pregnant anyway. ALL OF THIS IS YOUR FAULT ANYWAY. You are the one who is barren.
God delivers them. They go on their way They have enough promises from God to wallpaper their tent.
But now they go into a 24 year WAIT. God shows up. God shows off. God reminds them of His promises, But no baby.
Ten years into this Faith project,
Genesis 16:1 ESV
1 Now Sarai, Abram’s wife, had borne him no children. She had a female Egyptian servant whose name was Hagar.
Egyptian Slave (Stranger)
Genesis 16:2 ESV
2 And Sarai said to Abram, “Behold now, the Lord has prevented me from bearing children. Go in to my servant; it may be that I shall obtain children by her.” And Abram listened to the voice of Sarai.
This caused more rage, more jealousy. Gen 18:12 Tells us they have stopped having sex. The dream has died. So God steps in.
Genesis 20:1–2 ESV
1 From there Abraham journeyed toward the territory of the Negeb and lived between Kadesh and Shur; and he sojourned in Gerar. 2 And Abraham said of Sarah his wife, “She is my sister.” And Abimelech king of Gerar sent and took Sarah.
Genesis 20:3–6 ESV
3 But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night and said to him, “Behold, you are a dead man because of the woman whom you have taken, for she is a man’s wife.” 4 Now Abimelech had not approached her. So he said, “Lord, will you kill an innocent people? 5 Did he not himself say to me, ‘She is my sister’? And she herself said, ‘He is my brother.’ In the integrity of my heart and the innocence of my hands I have done this.” 6 Then God said to him in the dream, “Yes, I know that you have done this in the integrity of your heart, and it was I who kept you from sinning against me. Therefore I did not let you touch her.
Genesis 20:7–10 ESV
7 Now then, return the man’s wife, for he is a prophet, so that he will pray for you, and you shall live. But if you do not return her, know that you shall surely die, you and all who are yours.” 8 So Abimelech rose early in the morning and called all his servants and told them all these things. And the men were very much afraid. 9 Then Abimelech called Abraham and said to him, “What have you done to us? And how have I sinned against you, that you have brought on me and my kingdom a great sin? You have done to me things that ought not to be done.” 10 And Abimelech said to Abraham, “What did you see, that you did this thing?”
Genesis 20:11–15 ESV
11 Abraham said, “I did it because I thought, ‘There is no fear of God at all in this place, and they will kill me because of my wife.’ 12 Besides, she is indeed my sister, the daughter of my father though not the daughter of my mother, and she became my wife. 13 And when God caused me to wander from my father’s house, I said to her, ‘This is the kindness you must do me: at every place to which we come, say of me, “He is my brother.” ’ ” 14 Then Abimelech took sheep and oxen, and male servants and female servants, and gave them to Abraham, and returned Sarah his wife to him. 15 And Abimelech said, “Behold, my land is before you; dwell where it pleases you.”
Genesis 20:16 ESV
16 To Sarah he said, “Behold, I have given your brother a thousand pieces of silver. It is a sign of your innocence in the eyes of all who are with you, and before everyone you are vindicated.”
Genesis 20:16 AMP
16 And to Sarah he said, Behold, I have given this brother of yours a thousand pieces of silver; see, it is to compensate you [for all that has occurred] and to vindicate your honor before all who are with you; before all men you are cleared and compensated.
Genesis 20:16 CJB
16 To Sarah he said, “Here, I have given your brother a thousand pieces of silver. That will allay the suspicions of everyone who is with you. Before everyone you are cleared.”
Genesis 21:1 ESV
1 The Lord visited Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did to Sarah as he had promised.
Genesis 21:2 ESV
2 And Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age at the time of which God had spoken to him.
