คำอุปมาเรื่องผู้หว่าน The Parable Of The Sower

Sometimes we don’t understand a principle until we see it fleshed out for us. So, an earthly example can help us to understand a deeper spiritual principle.

Obviously the Word of God is not a literal, physical “SEED,” but it has those characteristics that we will see today and is more easily understood in this way.

Caution: Don’t try to force meaning out of everything in a parable.

Notice in verses 10-13, that Jesus is speaking the parables, but not explaining them to the general crowd. But the followers of Jesus receive the explanation.

1 Corinthians 2:9-10

ผู้หว่านเมล็ด The Sower

Vs. 14

14 ผู้หว่านนั้นก็ได้หว่านพระวจนะ

14 The sower soweth the word.

This was originally the Lord Jesus Christ.

Now, the sowers are the believers who spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ in obedience to the Great Commission.

เมล็ดพันธุ์ The Seed

Vs. 14 - The Word of God must be central to our message

If we are sowing anything but the Word of God, that is the fruit we will see...

Prosperity - it may draw people in, but what is the fruit? Covetousness?

Good works - It might make us feel good, but what is the fruit? Selfishness? I did my part! Pride.

ความสำเร็จของเมล็ด The Seed’s Success

Hear the Word

Receive the Word into their hearts; more than just a head knowledge.

How much fruit is not the point, because fruit here is salvation by grace through faith.

Abundance of fruit is not the point, the point is, fruit here is salvation.

Christian; I said the amount of fruit is not important, because you are either saved or you’re not! BUT, what fruit is being born in your life? The fruit of our service to God is in God’s hand, but we have a responsibility to obey His Word.
