Ball Don’t Lie
Ball Don’t Lie
The reality is: Sometimes, the ball does lie.
Really, all of us have lied as some point.
We live in a world that you really can’t believe what you hear on tv or read on the internet or even pastors on tv without investigating it for yourself.
Its really hard to know who to trust. But one thing is sure. We can trust our creator. We trust in God.
In a world full of lies, There is one who doesn’t lie.
God doesn’t lie.
“God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent; Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?
Gos is not a man that he should lie. And even later in history from when this was written, Whenever Jesus took on flesh, whenever he became man, he was perfect. He never lied. In fact he called himself the truth.
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.
God is not like us in the way in which we tell lies, fibs, half truths.
God isn’t like that.
Everything he says is true.
“Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.
So tonight I want to read a few verses of Scripture here and tell you what God says.
For unbelievers:
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
God does not lie. You have sinned and fallen short of His glory, and that is the standard.
because by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes the knowledge of sin.
God doesn’t lie. read the verse. In other words, you can’t be good enough on your own.
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
God’s wrath is coming. Its coming against sin. And there is a place called Hell and it is a eternal place of torment.
“Then He will also say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels;
God doesn’t lie and that really is what we are owed.
“But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and spoke with me, saying, “Come here, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.” And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God,
“But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
God does not lie. The rightful payment for sin. What we are owed for our sin is death.
He also didn’t lie about the second part of that verse.
The free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. and we are told how to be saved.
that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
God doesn’t lie.
Unbelievers- let those things sink in.
Believers.
God doesn’t lie.
Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
Roman
If you are saved, genuinely in Christ, there is no condemnation for you.
Not only that.
He goes on to say in verse 38-39
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
We are secure in Christ.
Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison,
