Introduction
What’s the first thing you pray for?
A Strange Vision
We start by understanding what we mean by hallowed.
Holy, separate - what does that mean?
Andrew Purves - an accent that can transform a phonebook
Holiness is the otherness of God that is worthy of awe, wonder, and glory
While we are distracted by the things around it, the center of John’s vision is God
New Perspectives
When God’s holiness captivates us, our hearts become re-ordered
Our world changes from “Me-o-centric” to “theocentric”
When we know God, we reorient our lives to bring him glory
Looking Outward
God’s holiness re-frames our perspective on our world, too
God’s holiness re-frames our perspective
In John’s vision, we see God honored as holy by every creature
Our desire is to see God’s name honored and glorified in the world. (Regarded as holy)
