8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
46 So Jesus came again to Cana of Galilee where He had made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman whose son was sick at Capernaum. 47 When he heard that Jesus had come out of Judea into Galilee, he went to Him and implored Him to come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death. 48 Then Jesus said to him, “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will by no means believe.”
49 The nobleman said to Him, “Sir, come down before my child dies!”
50 Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your son lives.” So the man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he went his way. 51 And as he was now going down, his servants met him and told him, saying, “Your son lives!”
52 Then he inquired of them the hour when he got better. And they said to him, “Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.” 53 So the father knew that it was at the same hour in which Jesus said to him, “Your son lives.” And he himself believed, and his whole household.
54 This again is the second sign Jesus did when He had come out of Judea into Galilee.

This official made a journey of 25 miles based on Jesus reputation alone
The university of Oklahoma is 22-23 miles from here. Walking there would take about 8 hours
El Reno is closer to about the Distance. Walking would take a little over 8 hours
The average Marthon is about 26 miles, Running you could get it done in like 2-4 hours
It would have taken the nobleman somewhere between 4-8 hours to get to Jesus, and he didn’t even know if he would be able to heal his boy. But he did it anyway.
You can BET on HIS reputation
Jesus is not going to let you down, he has a reputation to hold up. In fact it’s not in his nature to do so.

In those day miracles and acts of power were linked to the presence of the miracle worker.
so when Jesus was said unless you people see signs and wonders you will by no means believe, we was speaking to the fact that the people only believed by sight and not faith. It was not a true Faith
when Jesus spoke “ go your way” he demanded that his faith be desperate enough to trust his word, not just his visible works.
It was not a nice go either. It was a demand!

11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
The word of God accomplished more then what the man had even asked for, His whole household was saved.
