V. 1-9 Opens with announcing the author and the revelation of God given to him concerning Edom. God has sent a report to Obadiah and a messenger has been sent among the nations, to cause them to rise up against Edom for battle. God intends to make Edom insignificant and unimportant. They are filled with pride and God is about to humble them. They are worse then thieves. Less generous then grape gatherers. Even Edom's allies have deceived them and now God is planning to wipe them out.

God will give back what the enemy took away.

I want you to know today that the proud who mistreat God’s will face humbling and disastrous consequences. God will bring them down from their high places. He will make armies rise against the. He will make them experience all the hurt and pain they caused in your life.
But I also want you to know that those of you who may be experiencing misfortune in your life today at the hands of prideful people, God is going to turn it around. Everything you missed or lost because of your enemies, regardless of what camp they come from, God is going to restore it to you.
You need to know that God will take care of you! He will bring humility to the proud and restoration to the unfortunate.
Some didn’t believe that Jesus was the Christ. They didn’t know that He was life. But on Calvary he humbled the proud and brought restoration to the believer.
