Thankfulness
Thankfulness
phil 1 3-
3 I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, 4 always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, 5 because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. 6 And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. 7 It is right for me to feel this way about you all, because I hold you in my heart, for you are all partakers with me of grace, both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel. 8 For God is my witness, how I yearn for you all with the affection of Christ Jesus.
Genuineness of our fellowship
Genuineness of our fellowship
I usually shy away from saying “friends” when I refer to Sojourn family.
I usually say “family, or church family in Fargo”
We “KNOW” each other rather than knowing ABOUT each other and I am thankful for that.
Partnership in life
Partnership in life
I have learned about parenting, marriage, building things, and all sorts of other things because of each of you.
My kids know you, love you, and respect you.
I actually KNOW what is going on in your life.
Your suffering and joy is our suffering and joy
The stories we share together

Salvations
pain
Babies born
babies lost
Joys and failures
Our commitment to this mission
Our commitment to this mission
We have gone through good times and bad times
Location changes
People moving away
Families leaving the church and families returning
But there is something that special that we all stay committed to and that has translated 1200 miles away to Hartford, KY.
9 I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding. 10 For I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives until the day of Christ’s return. 11 May you always be filled with the fruit of your salvation—the righteous character produced in your life by Jesus Christ—for this will bring much glory and praise to God.
phil 1 12-
The things that make Sojourn so special are also the things that hinder our mission.
When we begin to focus more on what makes us comfortable than reaching those far from God.
When we are satisfied with who is here than who is not
When we start comparing and measuring ourselves based on what others are doing or what others say is success.
My prayers and supplications:
My prayers and supplications:
1) That your love would overflow more and more
1) That your love would overflow more and more
That your love for Jesus would overflow into your love for the lost.
That your love for one another would overflow in others experiencing the love of Jesus
2) That your will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding
2) That your will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding
That your understanding will result in Christ-centered obedience.
Not concerned about money, comfort, and pleasure, but understanding what really matters
3) That you will be filled with the fruit of salvation
3) That you will be filled with the fruit of salvation
That you will live righteously and bring glory to God
11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
May this be a place that extends the fame of Christ and the Glory of God to the Nations starting here in Fargo ND.
