If you have a job interview and the person giving the interview says your a very interestting candidate, you may walk away from that meeting feeling positive. After all this company values unique and creative people, so to be interesting seems like a positive attribute. So you build up this expectation that you’re going to get the job based on the words of that interviewer. But when you don’t get the job you begin to reevaluate that conversation. In light of the fact that you didn’t get the job you know begin to interprete “interesting candidate,” in a different way.
The Jewish people often had to reinterpret their understanding of the Scriptures because of historical events.
The XPians did the same thing in light of the historical event, the resurrection.
