Creation
We were made by the Hand of God
We were made in the Image of God
We were made for the Purpose of God
We were created by God to Worship, Walk, and Work. Adam and Eve had perfect fellowship with God but in we run into a problem that has changed the entire course of History: Sin!
Read
Sin is serious! It is not a bad habit, or a little mistake, but it has eternal consequences.
Sin is serious! It is not a bad habit, or a little mistake.
Q: How has sin effected the entire course of history?

I) The Fall brought Death (v1)
I) The Fall brought Death (v1)
Sin results in Death
God told Adam and Eve, “…for the day you eat from it, you will certainly die” ().
Paul writes, “For the wages of sin is death...” ().
To “die” has the basic idea of “separation.” It means spiritual separation, physical separation, and/or eternal separation.
At the moment of Adam and Eve’s sin, they were spiritual dead, but because God was merciful they did not die physically until later.
Adam and Eve went from perfect fellowship to being separated from God.
We inherited a Sin Nature
Paul writes, “Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, in this way death spread to all people, because all sinned” ().
As a result of our sin, we are separated from God! We all inside know we have this separation which is why the majority of people are doing everything they can to make peace with God.
Our works are not doing nothing, because “they are like filthy rags.”
“All of our

The World or World-System:
The world puts pressures on each person to try to get him to conform.
Jesus was not “of this world” and neither are his people.
The unsaved person, either consciously or unconsciously is controlled by the values and attitudes of this world
The Devil:
Who is Satan? Satan is a fallen angel who attempted to overthrow God along with a third of the angels. Satan is powerful, but is limited:
Satan is not omnipresent
Satan is not omnipotent
What is Satan’s Goal?
Satan wants to influence the live of both believers and unbelievers to live in opposition to God’s law.
The Flesh:
What is “The Flesh?” This is a reference to our fallen nature that we were born with, that wants to control the body and the mind and make us disobey God.
Why does a dog behave like a dog? It’s their nature!
Why does a cat behave like a cat? It’s their nature!
Why does an unsaved person disobey God? It’s their nature!
III) The Fall Brought Doom ()
III) The Fall Brought Doom ()
God is just and punishes us for our sins.
Because we sinned against an holy God, we deserve the punishment of hell!
Reconciliation is in Jesus
Reconciliation is in Jesus
Man tries everything to reconcile themselves to God, but it is impossible. All of our works are as filthy rags.
The wrath of God has to be satisfied. Jesus became our propitiation. On the cross, Jesus took the punishment for our sins until the Father was satisfied.
We can experience reconciliation with Jesus!
If you are lost, come to cross this morning where the hope of eternal life is found.
If you are saved, continue to live in a moment-by-moment relationship with God. The primary purpose of our salvation was not heaven, but HIM!
Right Living
Right Living
Remember this: Sin is Serious! Sin is Costly!
Sin hinders our fellowship with God! Stay Close and Clean!
CONCLUSION:
CONCLUSION:
The Fall destroyed our relationship with God, but Jesus brought reconciliation through the Cross! Come to Jesus!
Live for Jesus!
