(NKJV)
9 After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, 10 and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”
What a beautiful picture.
I was so moved when I read it.
All nation, tribe, people, and tongues… standing before the throne
Before the Lamb, clothes with white robes.. with palm branches in their hand
And they cry “Salvation belongs to our God…” “who sit on the throne, and to the lamb!”
Finally its clear, no debate.
It has been made known that there is no one else that can save.
No sun god or moon god
Not Zeus or Apollo
To Baal or Diana
Not Muhammad or he big fat Buddha
not Hare Krishna nor Confucius
there is not more than one way..
all over the world.. the realization and affirmation is revealed and declared.. salvation belongs to our God!!!
And if you are confused as to which one.. the only one.. the one clearly seen here sitting on the throne..
The Lamb…
They affirm the source of salvation and how that salvation was delivered to us.
Salvation belongs to God, who sit on the throne and to the lamb..
Now the word Salvation come from the Greek Word Soteria.
This means Freedom form Jail or prison, Healing, and Deliverance from sin and enemies.
It’s the state of not being in grave danger and placed in the proper relationship with God.
Come from the SoZo.
To save rescue, deliver, or heal.
To save from danger or distress.
Soteria = salvation
Sozo = Saved
In systematic theology there is:
One bible teacher says, “Christian identify is established in soteriology (the doctrine of salvation), because Christianity find its starting point and its uniqueness in addressing the question of how humanity is saved.”
One bible teacher says, “Christian identify is established in soteriology (the doctrine of salvation), because Christianity find its starting point and its uniqueness in addressing the question of how humanity is saved.”
Notice what they cried… Salvation belong to our God.
Meaning God is both the source and provider of salvation.
It is not I, who has saved myself but the one seated on the throne and the lamb..
What lamb?
I remember the story in Genesis
(NKJV)
Abraham take his son up upon the command of God to offer him up as an offering..
7 But Isaac spoke to Abraham his father and said, “My father!”
And he said, “Here I am, my son.”
Then he said, “Look, the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?”
8 And Abraham said, “My son, God will provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt offering.”
So the two of them went together.
Abraham take his son up upon the command of God to offer him up as an offering..
On his way up he tells his young men
(NKJV)
(NKJV)
“Stay here with the donkey; the lad and I will go yonder and worship, and we will come back to you.”
We will come back to you
Then the boy says wait a minute I see fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?”
Notice Abrahams response
8 And Abraham said, “My son, God will provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt offering.”
Then….

There was a ram in the thicket..
10 And Abraham stretched out his hand and took the knife to slay his son.
11 But the Angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said, “Abraham, Abraham!”
So he said, “Here I am.”
12 And He said, “Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.”
13 Then Abraham lifted his eyes and looked, and there behind him was a ram caught in a thicket by its horns.
So Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up for a burnt offering instead of his son.
There was a ram in the thicket..
The ram took his son place but Abraham said a lamb…
What’s the difference between a ram and lamb?
Well a lamb a baby sheep.
A youngster, this speaks of innocence A ram is used for breeding as does not have that same innocence…

That’s way in
