Mark chapter 14

verse number 32

Jesus was approaching crucifixion. It's time was I'm about to come and he was in the greatest crisis of his life. And he Judas had already left to betray Christ. So Jesus only had 11 disciples that would soon forsake Him and leave him but in verse 32 of Mark chapter 14, then came then they came to a place which was named Gethsemane and he said to his disciples sit here while I pray. You may be reseeded in the presence of the Lord.

Last week we didn't have a screen at all and I we have a green screen. So we're making progress folks Hallelujah. today I want to Pray for the next couple of Sundays on the topic of making war on the floor. Hallelujah, I could convince him of you to move to the middle. So I don't have a crick in my neck at the end of this thing some of you young folks. That would be really sweet and kind of you and I'll take you to dinner other glass of water and all the water you want to drink Channel. Please come to the middle of sugar help me out, but making War. on the floor on the floor of Gethsemane how to help me

Jesus he went to Gethsemane to pray but it wasn't just your average for a meeting. a man There's something different about this prayer meeting yourself something different about this time Jesus and oftentimes come to get simony to pray. But this time was different. Because he was about to suffer shame abuse into me and all kinds of unfathomable in the Humane things in his life. But in his approach to this time in his life in just a few hours this was to begin. We find Jesus making war on the floor of Gethsemane. Who is he praying for you realize that he was praying for you?

He was praying for your family. He was praying for this land and this time it wasn't he was not praying as just for himself though. He was but he was praying for you Church. It is urgent that you and I that the church make war on the floor for The Souls of mankind. It's time for the church to rise up and make war on the floor over for the church. Cuz a lot of the church is dead by the church is unfruitful. A lot of the church has no presence of the Lord. It's an organization. It's a religious events on the weekends or whenever they have their their times together. It's time for somebody to stand up and make war on the floor for the church. The one the church gets wakened up and is making war on the floor. It's time to pray for this nation for that Spiritual Awakening for that epic Revival that we're praying and believing God for guess simony the word Gethsemane means winepress really in this setting it be better for all oppressed because it was in an Olive Garden Olive Branch were many olive trees were just about a quarter of a mile outside of the city of Jerusalem, but guess simony means winepress, but I found something interesting, you know, enjoy work studies. And so I said, what does the word gas now if you'll ever read in the Old Testament in and read some of the stuff and maybe a bit boring, you know that the begats and you find gas but something so so what does gas mean? Well, I found the gas was an inherited by the tribe of zebulun and Zebulon Zebulon memes or honor exalted or honor. I want you to notice that in order to get to a place of exaltation and honor it goes through the wine press. In order to get even for Jesus to get to his place of honor and exaltation. He had to go through Gethsemane. He had to go through the oil press had to go through the crushing time. Amen. And there's a video that I want you to play even though it's going to be all green if we could dim the lights help out as much as you can but I want you to watch this clip from the The Passion of the Christ of Jesus in The Garden of Gethsemane.

Turn up the audio.

Jesus was in the most crushing most pressurized. We have the lights back up, please. The most crushing time in his entire life was in that I know you couldn't see that very well. That's what you probably say nothing movie before but just from the scriptures understand that he was in the most brutal crushing time of his life that he had ever been in before and there is no doubt that the disciples had never seen him in this state of mind before and Jesus Take it during his ministry that he came to do the will of his father. But in order to do the will of the father and the bring it to fruition and completion in order to ascend to the place of honor at the right hand of God, Jesus journeyed through the winepress through Gethsemane. The writer of Hebrews in chapter 12 verse 2 the last half of that verse says because of the joy awaiting him. He endured the cross disregarding it shame now in the place of honor beside God's Throne because of awaiting him. What was on the other side of Calvary? Come on. I got a bunch of Presbyterians today. It's all right, but he knew what was waiting on the other side of crucifixion. He knew what was waiting on the other side of all of the shame and the and the pain and then there was Joy on the other side because that George was the gift of Salvation that he was bringing to Mankind and he knew that it's at that point when it was all done and the resurrection was completes that he wouldn't want to send to his place of honor back at the right hand of the father Hallelujah. And so therefore he endured the cross District. Having it shave and was seated in the place of honor beside gone. Gethsemane the last part of that world get simony means oil and it's from the Hebrew word scheman & The Royal The Garden of the oil pressure and I want you to take note that Jesus when he was going to the Garden of Gethsemane with his 11 disciple that were left eight of them. He said y'all stay here, but he picked up Peter to John and said come a little farther with me and then he said y'all stay here and pray and he pointed to a certain place. Maybe it was a place that he had been many many times before seeking father in prayer. And he said I'm going over there to pray but y'all stay here and pray but I want you to notice that even though that they were his three closest and most highly respected disciples that that even they were not prepared for the oil press.

I want to ask you before we get too far along here. Are you prepared for the oil press? Are you prepared for Gethsemane because these three disciples Jesus found them not once or twice but three times sleeping when they were supposed to have been but they weren't ready for the oil. Press not know. This message may not be for everybody. But you take as much of it as you can today and and then apply to your life, but I want to ask Calvary Family Worship Center. Are you ready for the oil? Press? Are you ready? For Guess simony. Are you ready to make pork on the floor for the Church of the Living God? Are you ready to make on the floor for Grand Prairie and DFW metroplex for this nation. Are you ready to pull yourself out on at an altar of Prayer in Gethsemane for that everything that you're so crushed that that everything else that is not of you is removed now. Listen, Jesus was perfect. He didn't need this crushing, right? But the Bible says in Hebrews chapter 5 or 7 that during a shoe is life on Earth from the complete Jewish Bible during Jesus's life on Earth. He offered up prayers and petitions crying aloud and shedding tears to the one who had the power to deliver him from death and he was hurt because of his godliness not remind you this morning that Jesus was 100% God, but he was also 100% man and whenever we find him whenever we see him when we read about him crying out and guess simony shutting break a sweat drops of blood from his forehead ahead. And in the pain that he was suffering even in the intensity of prayer that that was his Humanity side.

there's no way that you and I today can imagine because Jesus in his God ness in being God he knew everything that was coming. He knew everything that was coming to the markets in the spitting that was coming. He knew the crushing of a soul around that whipping post. Jerusalem would be pushed onto his head that was coming. on his God ness and so because of him knowing everything that was coming. His Humanity was crushed and crying on. Write as a perfect man, and he was perfect. Can you say Amen? Even the heat shrink from the ordeal of Calvary because of the Stark ugliness and the other horror of the cross that lay before him. It wasn't only the sin and the sorrow of man that he cried out for it, but he knew what awaited him but yet the writer Hebrew says he endured the cross. Is anybody happy in this house today toward the cross that he went through Gethsemane. Kindergarten put that picture up on the screen for my buddy. This is an olive tree can't say quite as well. As I had hoped that the trunk and The Roots. This is a very old olive tree to might even been in the area where the Jesus's friend. Who knows but Jesus might have melted this or this very spot, but you noticed that that tree that the roots in the trunk of that tree is very twisted and gnarly and that's probably a country word gnarly. But anyway, it's very it's gnarled and twisted and I want you to hear this church Jesus as he was praying in Gethsemane was surrounded by these trees and could these trees that was gnarled and twisted could they possibly have been representing his soul? That was in such torment and then I'm not being ugly and I'm not taking away facing in Jesus Christ, but but could not have even been fear and some products. That was that was making a Total Wreck of his soul that all a tree represent what was going on inside of Jesus while he was making war on the floor for your soul. Come on church. He could have it any moment and there is no. No, the movie portrays Satan and up next to him. But there is no doubt in my mind that the enemy was there trying to speak lies and falsehoods into the ear and into the spirit Into the Heart of the Son of God the devil thinking this is my last moments. This is my last chance. This is my last opportunity to stop salvation from the world and condemning the entire world to hell. And so she was fighting. Come on Satan was fighting for you as much as Jesus was but I'm happy to announce today the winner Hallelujah. Somebody gets a winner someplace. He went through the cross.

Hallelujah Can you imagine the torment? of the son of God has he made war on the floor for you Romans chapter 5 verse 12 says there for just as through one man, sin entered the world and death through sin and Gus death spread to all men because all sinned verse 15 says but the free gift not like the offense for youth by the one man's offense mini much more of the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one man. Jesus Christ abounded many hallelujah. Hallelujah. I'm glad that Jesus one. So today hear the voice of Holy Spirit. He is giving a Clarion call to the Church of the Living God to those his children who will bend over and hear and listen. He's calling us to make war on the floor in Jesus. Mighty name. I want to read from Matthew chapter 26.

First timer 38 and then I'm going to preach if it's okay if I can get any game in your dismissed and field go home, but I'm going to preach anyway. Matthew 26 verse 38 Jesus said to them to his disciples. My soul is exceedingly sorrowful even to death stay here and watch with me. I want to be a 14 minutes left and I want to I want to preach to you the Integrity of his prayer the Integrity of the prayer that Jesus praying in Gethsemane prayer you find character integrity honor and courage in his prayer UC determination in Durham and fearlessness in this prayer. You can see both and fortitude. We know that Jesus our savior has suffered died and also resurrected so you and I can talk. For mankind it would do no good the intensity of the prayer that we see in the life of Jesus as he was being pressed as he was being crushed there in the Garden of Gethsemane. There was an intensity a prayer that we need to consider for our prayer life today. What was that? I think simply put it would be the love for the soul of man. Anyway the heavy on the heart in the life of Jesus, but I think it should weigh heavy and well on the hard in the life of Church of the Living God that we pray that we make war for The Souls of man in our city and our community and our family. Toys three things. I want to talk to you about the application from this world today is so very simple as 1 word that is uncommon and say that with me so I know you're with me uncommon uncommon that that's what I want and I want you to be able to walk out of here today and say I'm coming and realize what we're talkin about. There's three things. I want to talk to you about that are uncommon that I find in this time of Jesus's number one with the uncommon passion. The Uncommon passion we see in the life of Jesus that he was Waring and prayer like never before Let me just insert here that God is calling the church to Warren prayer like never before may I remind you that I mean, I killed some nasty stuff. He healed some ugly stuff he cast out demons as many as 2,000 it one time that we know about Jesus even but never in all of these instances where he was seen healing the worst kind of sickness or casting out the 2000 demons out of one man at one time or any of the three times that we have recorded that he raised the dad that may have been more but we know of three that's recorded never in any of these instances in all of the Miracles in the meeting never have we heard Jesus say in reference to a prayer time. My soul is crushed with grief to the point of death.

He knew that we can be sick and die and still make heaven.

And he knows that even if we're raised from the dead we're going to die against but we can still make heaven.

What if there is no salvation for our soul? Jesus knew there was a new intense level that he was in when it came to get simony this time. He wasn't praying for some kid that had a snotty nose. Come on. He wasn't praying for a demon-possessed man. He wasn't raising some little mama's boy from the dead. What he was there for was for you and for me and for the world and everybody that followed come on church. And so he said my soul is crushed with grief to the point of them. Matthew chapter 26 verse 22 the disciples says that they were exceedingly sorrowful, but what was just more like a major concern and here's why they've been eating dinner and Jesus said guess what guys are going to be trying me. When I lay down exactly what you were doing. Don't say that you wouldn't do it to him.

I'm going to try to prove it because when they came to arrest Jesus Peter got out of sword, and he wanted to cut the guy's head off with a guy. I just got his hair, right? As I said, she can see it another way, but I'm right. I don't know. I was telling you he wanted to prove it. But what did Jesus say to Peter? He said man before the crew of The Talk of the rooster crows in the morning. You're going to call me three times. Guess what happened? He did and so there was just a concern that Jesus would put his finger at me and say you're going to be the one to betray me. So they were a little bit offended but there was a little bit of of sorrow, but that's not the kind of Sorrow that Jesus was feeling I never did it. Anyway, it was stealing because when Jesus said he was standing literally if you study the word there he was in compass golf by grief and sorrow No matter where he turn no matter where he looks the pressure was everywhere. It wasn't just in his chest. It wasn't just you. No feeling in his mind. That wasn't just an emotional thing. He was in compass. He was dying. He was drowning in sorrow because he knew if he did not endure the cross mankind would be lost forever. right Is exceeding sorrow, there's no way that you and I can sit here today and even imagine the kind of grief that Jesus encounter.

I guess the worst grief that I've had in my life. It's whenever my my parents and then my in-laws died, but there was a horrible horrible horrible time and there's still times even now my mom still even times like that.

A lot of times my father-in-law's like Jesus Hallelujah Griffith Ford death of close family members hunt on you all at one time. My friend hear me. It would not even compare begin to compare to the creeps that Jesus felt in December when he was making war on the floor for you. Laurel it is war on the Florida prayer and such intensity in such passion and compassion. It is heavy without measure. It is burdensome without is excruciating without Comfort is a kind of prayer that is assigned only to an intercessor or someone who is so near a person sold that only you can make the very on a Prayer Warfare. Is there anybody in your life even one soul that you're willing to go for? And be crushed with a weight of Sorrow of the intense thought. Perfect closest person in your life my die and go to hell. Is there anybody in your life that you might say before you leave this place today? I want to be uncommon. I don't want the Integrity of the prayer that Jesus had and I want to be so uncommon that I go and not find a place and I bury my face in the hand of God and I'll cry out to him from the pardon and the grief that sold. I'm even once all that is close to you. Are you willing to make war on the floor knowing what I Vision scripture is acts 2:21 and whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Not everybody is going to be saved but you pray for everybody that Jesus died for has not been saved, but you can make a difference by going through Gethsemane and a having an uncommon passion. And then secondly, we find an uncommon sincerity uncommon sincerity often when the Jesus healed the sick. There were very large crowds remember. 1000 sometimes looking on but when you raise the dead or cast out demons, there was always somebody watching might have been just as disciples small group of people but there was always somebody watching what you saying preacher what I'm saying? Is that in the most crushing time a prayer with the salvation of the soul of man being weighed in the balance. Jesus Christ did not have a crowd of Cheers. He didn't have anybody cheering him on and saying pray Jesus pray, right? But in the most of his life in the most intense prayer of his life in the here alone and made war on the floor for a Mankind in Gethsemane, and only three were invited to be near him Peter James and John but they were disobedient and they slept rather than watching and praying. Today of a church is sleeping instead of watching and praying. How many are sleep up against the tree comforting themselves. Well, the world is going to hell.

May I say to you then? No one I know you might be saying and I appreciate the last night and in Meridian and and and I know that you may feel like that man is this is heavy and then I'll come to church getting parsnip lifted, but the church hear me when you walk through those doors today and you determine that I'm going to be uncommon and I'm going to practice the Integrity a prayer that we find cheese is practicing in disseminating and you bury your face and nobody's watching and nobody is seeing then then then guess what when that Soul comes to Jesus you're going to have a whole lot of rejoicing and a whole lot of tension Hallelujah because no one no one is going to know no one is going to notice your tumultuous prayer. Because you do this kind of praying in a closet you do this kind of praying under your bed. You do this kind of praying all alone in the middle of the field or in the middle of trees or somewhere. Nobody. Nobody sent man Pastor, you know how to pray. Amen Pastor you really know how to preach man Pastor you can really get loud may not say much but you can get loud. What's the news last night?

When your friends but Jesus pray for the souls of man, you're not going to have any Watching You the spotlight is not going to shine on you for You Weep and feel that this day and the scorn. You will not receive accolades and nobody will come up to you and say atta boy.

mothers rest while others are being comforted and Solace your soul is dying inside from the sorrow of what you see because you know, that souls are destined for eternity without God God is calling us to an uncommon sincerity my third and final thing of uncommon is uncommon groanings passion sincerity, but the number is growing Jesus had the weight of the world literally the souls and sins of all of atoms race the weight of Sorrow that you experience will only be probably for your spouse or your children or your family, maybe your community, but most likely and it's mostly going to be those that are closest to you that you're going to feel the weight of us all of their sin. But listen to Holy Spirit in Romans chapter 8 verse 26 likewise the spirit also helps in our weaknesses for we do not know what we should pray for it, but the spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings, which cannot be uttered not he who searches the heart knows what the mind of the spirit is because he makes intercession for the saint according to the will of God hallelujah Church on the floor for Grand Prairie and Dallas-Fort Worth and this nation when you make prayer for a make more on the floor in prayer for your children your spouse or whoever it is that is supposed to use that as well and the intensity and the passion and the sincerity that Jesus prayed there will be moments in your prayer life that there will be no words to explain And the great that you are feeling for those and all you can do.

Back in the 80s. We attended a church and I think that's where they God really planted that seed in me of the importance of prayer because as you enter the sanctuary there was a prayer room comfortably in 8 or 10 people in there, but I remember lots of times and I was just brother minor kind of trying to start to preach. I was learning to read a text has been where I was at this point. I remember especially in the evenings sometimes in the mornings tube, especially in the evening Services walking in in in in about to push through those double doors into that sanctuary in the corner. There was at least two ladies in Forever War in that brunette room sister sister and sister in English. I knew that they were in their actions. Sometimes they were praying in tongue, but a lot of time they were just thrown in Because they were intercessors and I knew that we needed God we need God in our church services and going to hell so they didn't care if anybody could understand what they were praying. They didn't mean to crowd that didn't mean actually they just needed a Touch Heaven and so they went through Gethsemane church. Are you willing to go through Yosemite or so?

Times will just be uncommon groanings.

Heavenly Father It's not asking. YouTube died he's not even asking you to pray until there's great. Sorry guys, great sweat drops of blood. But this I do know that the church enter the Seas of Stark awareness. But our only hope is in Jesus Christ. None other not politicians. Not the best economy. Not even the perfect job. Not even great awesome relationships. Is he answer? Our future and our hope is in Christ and Christ Alone. Hallelujah time to intensify prayers get so passionate and sincere in your prayer for the Lost.

Those that are close to you. Sons daughters brothers sisters mom is Daddy's and uncles nieces nephews a person you see everyday at the convenience store that person that you sit beside in a cubicle at work or stand beside her or whatever it is that you do. flywheel to intensify your prayer to the point that heaven don't come tell me about it. Play with intensity so that heaven looks down and says that is uncommon. How is our clothes and he's ever coming to my phone today. Jesus did not give himself up because that could have been considered suicide. But neither. Did he hide like a coward?

Here is so important. He went to a place that Judas knew well.

And here I would wrap it up with this one final statement. In the course of uncommon passion sincerity and groanings of uncommon passion sincerity and groaning. Where is your common place of Prayer? Judas knew where to find Jesus because he went there often times to pray maybe if we could look for the Jesus was 2,000 years ago. We might have even seen two places on the ground for his knees have been so many times.

When we were evangelist off a lot of times, I would especially if I was in there praying I would closely examine the altars, you know, and wouldn't Alters usually back in the Dark Ages.

Brother, I would see those places for the tears and pools and left a stain on an altar. Case you're wondering when we moved to Lakeridge was going to be.

so many times.

Manifest pool let stain to talk to me. What would that thing?

What I do know is if somebody had some intense prayer. somebody approached their Gethsemane somebody I found a place common with God but uncommon in prayer God is calling this church. Turn on Common Place a prayer.

total pastor this week

Pentecostal Church of God, it's every organization you go to meeting you running now, you know, I'm running about $190,000.

I told this past you this week. I said, you know a lot in with God as my witness on. Yes. I would love you. No number whatever that is to preach to on Sunday mornings. That would be awesome to have all these Ministries unless that's coming I believe.

What's important because I believe in God. I believe I know that God has called this body to prayer. 2010 Sprinter to the Integrity of the prayer that Jesus prayed within Yosemite a man. It's uncommon. In order to be an uncommon prayer, we got to find a common place to pray. So I encourage you find that place to pray. And make your season with Father like more on the floor and when you stand up, you know that don't you and met God and a common place your experience of passion sincerity and groanings was uncommon.

Back in the old days. The preacher would say everybody come around the Ultras and pray after sermon like this. I know we don't have a lot of room around these altars, but I'm going to ask you for just a few minutes, but you find a place to pray if you need special prayer. We prayed for needs earlier. But if there's any that you need prayer for right now come and find me, but can we take just a few minutes and find a place? Maybe it's where you are, and I don't know not. Everybody can kneel down not everybody can stand for long periods of time. I'm not worried about your posture and prayer. I must ask you to take a few minutes.

Maybe God has put somebody on your heart on your soul and he said to you during this last 30 minutes. A child I need you to get uncommon in your prayer about this person. Or maybe you say Pastor. I don't know if I'm ready. I'm not I'm not at a place if that's really who I am yet, don't you take just a minute and then pray for yourself. It's a God help me to find a common place with you to make my experience uncommon in prayer, man. Can we take this a few minutes and pray this morning, please open or whatever you're comfortable comfortable with on a place to pray for a few moments, please.
