“Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘When you come into the land which I give to you, and reap its harvest, then you shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest to the priest.
The firstfruits were a sign o the harvest to come.
The firstfruits were a guarantee of the harvest and Jesus is the guarantee of the saved to come!

Christ brought resurrection and deliverance (v. 21, 22)

For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead.

For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.
The action of one man or woman can change he course of history!
The action of one man or woman can change he course of history!
Romans 5:12 NKJV
Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned—
1 Corinthians 15:20–22 NKJV
But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.
1 Corinthians 15:22 NKJV
For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.

and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood,

The Redeemed Will Be Resurrected

The Redeemed will not all die at the same time

2 Corinthians 5:8–10 NKJV
We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.
2 Corinthians

The Redeemed will all rise at the same time

1 Corinthians 15:2
1 Corinthians 15:23 NKJV
But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming.
1 Thessalonians 4:15–17 NKJV
For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
1 Thessalonians 4:1
Colossians 1:18 NKJV
And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.

The Resurrection of the Redeemed signifies Redemption

The Redeemer will deliver the kingdom to God the Father

The Redeemer will destroy death once and for all

The Redeemer will cause God to all in all

1 Corinthians 15:24–28 NKJV
Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will be destroyed is death. For “He has put all things under His feet.” But when He says “all things are put under Him,it is evident that He who put all things under Him is excepted. Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.
1 Corinthians 15:24-28
Psalm 8:5–6 NKJV
For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor. You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet,
Psalm 8:5-6
Psalm 110:1 NKJV
The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”
Psalm 110:25
