Look, He's Here!
Ann Graham Lotz is the daughter of Billy Graham. She tells that years ago she was travelling with her Dad - they were in London. They were leaving their Hotel together, accompanied by a personal assistant to Billy Graham. As they passed through the rotating doors London is famous for, a familiar looking man was coming through the door. Billy Graham recognzed him, Hugh O' Brien, the famous actor who played Wyatt Earp in the T.V. series for many years.
Mr.O' Brien recognized Billy Graham immediately and the two began to talk together. Billy kept referring to his friend, "Hugh". Billy Graham's personal assistant only heard the name "Hugh" as he was dropping and picking up luggage. Billy went to introduce the two and the personal assistant said, "It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Hefner!"
It was all Billyand his daughter could do to hold their laughter until later. Then Billy explained to his aide that he had just met Hugh O'Brien - not Hugh Hefner, founder of the Playboy empire.
Although he h he was.ad seen Hugh O'Brien, he did NOT recognized him for who he was.
After reading this little episode, I began to wonder, "Do you think it might be possible to SEE Jesus and not recognize Him?"
Sometimes we need a little help, don't we? We need someone to nudge us and say, "Look, He's here. Right over there!"
