“Hosanna!
‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’
10 Blessed is the kingdom of our father David
That comes in the name of the Lord!
Hosanna in the highest!”
As we look at the events of what we call Palm Sunday Jesus is entering into the city of Jerusalem the people are screaming and yelling carrying on in a very celebratory fashion They couldn’t be happier or more elated the King is coming
Some of you have seen the parades on TV when thew Heat won championships I remember the Adirondack Red Wings parade (describe) This is the festive event I believe was taking place
Celebrating man’s accolades, having man cheer us on may be a real ego booster and It feels good. It is always nice to be appreciated. Yet Jesus was hailed as a hero-king but within just a few short days the same crowd yelled crucify Him. We ourselves have been in the same situation were one day we are a hero, all our friends love us and cheer for us celebrate with us and the next day they turn, they lie about us, they spread gossip, they want to kill us.
That’s when we need to remember who’s we are:
WE ARE CHILDREN OF THE ONE TRUE LIVING GOD
AND HE WILL
NEVER LEAVE US OR FORSAKE US
GREAT IS HIS FAITHFULNESS
