Oh Lord we come to the preaching of Thy precious and glorious Word! We pray that Your Word would be made effectual (by the Spirit’s power) to work in us oak tree-like obedience and complete love and devotion to You supremely! Help us to properly feel the obligation of regarding You as holy as we submit ourselves to You in humble dependence upon You and Your enabling grace! We pray through Jesus Christ our Lord! AMEN.
Gracious Father in heaven…may we honor Your Name as holy. Through the sacrifice of our great Champion, the Lord Jesus Christ, may our prayers be as incense and the lifting up of our praises to You, be as the morning offering!
We gather together this morning to remind one another that You are Lord, great, holy, and merciful. That You created us and we are subject to Your will through the new birth! May our praises that are sung us and heard by You and are heard by ourselves as well, may we remind one another that in Christ Jesus there is full forgiveness! That He has born our sin and punishment through the sacrifice of Himself.
Lord we pray that nothing false will be said, and that nothing will be misunderstood. Oh Lord, as we prepare to meet with our brothers and sisters from Community Bible Church we pray that Your presence would be made known this Friday as we seek Your face together! Lord, please be gracious to us!
We pray that we may be able to leave all our cares and concerns with you.
Give us grace to cast every one of them upon you, including the burden of our sin, for the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses from all sin.
We would confess our sin;
We would receive his forgiveness;
We would receive his forgiveness;
We would open our hearts wide to all of the influences of grace this day.
We would open our hearts wide to all of the influences of grace this day.
We pray that you will come down, O Lord, as dew upon the dry ground, as sunshine, with every spiritual refreshment.
Grant to us humble and teachable hearts that there may be a deep receptiveness to all that you have to say.
May we be comforted;
May we have grace to give you the glory and the praise that are your due.
May we have grace to give you the glory and the praise that are your due.
Help us, we pray, for Jesus’ sake.
Amen.
