Talk about Life Change
Sports comebacks… it ain’t over until it’s over.... But there comes a time when it’s over… the clock runs out and you walk off the field.
Saints in the championship game… it was over. People wanted to replay it… but it was over.
At some point it’s over. Death would be the ultimate ending here on earth. Sense of finality. When my dad died, I wished I could talk to him one more time… see him one more time...
Boudreaux joke - Thibidoux - I want people to say he was a good family man… loved his wife, kids,..
Guidry - He made a diffeence in community
Boudreaux - Look he’s moving...
Easter is about Jesus conquering the ultimate “it’s over.”
18 I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.
Jesus is the only God who makes the claim that he is alive. Jesus is alive all the others are dead.
We gather to remember that Jesus conquered death but it’s more than that.
It’s about you realizing that the same power that raised Jesus from the dead is living in you.
11 The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.
We all experience deaths of different types. dreams, relationships, careers, family...
Is there anything in your life that is dead or dying?
Emotional death… I used to feel...
Marital Death … it’s over...
Finances - 5 jobs could fix this...
This makes sense because the enemy comes to kill, steal and destroy...
Easter is about God changing people. Giving new life in people.
How would you know you are experiencing death?
Exhaustion.
Exhaustion.
Tired inside.
Emptiness.
Emptiness.
There is a void that only Jesus can fell.
Enslavement.
Enslavement.
You don’t believe it can change. It’s over.
It’s not over!
It’s not over!
18 I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.

Series - From the Grave - Dreams, emotions, relationships… See how Jesus delivers us
1 A man named Lazarus was sick. He lived in Bethany with his sisters, Mary and Martha. 2 This is the Mary who later poured the expensive perfume on the Lord’s feet and wiped them with her hair. Her brother, Lazarus, was sick. 3 So the two sisters sent a message to Jesus telling him, “Lord, your dear friend is very sick.” 4 But when Jesus heard about it he said, “Lazarus’s sickness will not end in death. No, it happened for the glory of God so that the Son of God will receive glory from this.” 5 So although Jesus loved Martha, Mary, and Lazarus, 6 he stayed where he was for the next two days.

How many have felt like Jesus did nothing when you prayed? … besides me?
John 11:1
We don’t have our prayers answered and we want to complain to God. I mean you stayed 2 more days
11 Then he said, “Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but now I will go and wake him up.” 12 The disciples said, “Lord, if he is sleeping, he will soon get better!” 13 They thought Jesus meant Lazarus was simply sleeping, but Jesus meant Lazarus had died. 14 So he told them plainly, “Lazarus is dead. 15 And for your sakes, I’m glad I wasn’t there, for now you will really believe. Come, let’s go see him.” 16 Thomas, nicknamed the Twin, said to his fellow disciples, “Let’s go, too—and die with Jesus.” 17 When Jesus arrived at Bethany, he was told that Lazarus had already been in his grave for four days. 18 Bethany was only a few miles down the road from Jerusalem, 19 and many of the people had come to console Martha and Mary in their loss. 20 When Martha got word that Jesus was coming, she went to meet him. But Mary stayed in the house. 21 Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if only you had been here, my brother would not have died. 22 But even now I know that God will give you whatever you ask.” 23 Jesus told her, “Your brother will rise again.” 24 “Yes,” Martha said, “he will rise when everyone else rises, at the last day.” 25 Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. 26 Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die. Do you believe this, Martha?”
