Easter is about the celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ!

HAPPY RESURRECTION SUNDAY!

If you did not get your eggs bolied and colored…you can still experience Easter...

If you did not get a basket full of candy and prizes…Easter is not cancelled...

If you missed your pic with the Big Furry Bunny…Easter has not been delayed...

Didn’t get a new outfit…Easter is still underway!

Easter messages are often composed of the death, the burial and the resurrection of Christ.

Today we are going to focus on the simplistict, solidarity of the resurrection of Jesus.

It is what we base our faith on...

As the old hymn states…On Christ the Solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand.

Had Christ not risen from the dead…there would be no Christianity…followers of the way!

If we go back into the history of the early church, there was no term Christian in the early NT church…The Way.

If you followed Christ you were a follower of the way.

Christ

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. -

Then Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest 2 and asked letters from him to the synagogues of Damascus, so that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem. -

(not so much an insiprational scripture on this resurrection Sunday morning - but a reality we must stay tethered to.)

Those who follow The Way - followers of Jesus Christ - Christians…

Those who follow The Way - followers of Jesus Christ - Christians…have been tried and tested and have not changed their story...

There was a death....

A burial...

and a resurrection...
