Scripture:
Scripture:
1 Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene came early to the tomb, while it was still dark, and saw the stone already taken away from the tomb. 2 So she ran and came to Simon Peter and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and said to them, “They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid Him.”

3 So Peter and the other disciple went forth, and they were going to the tomb. 4 The two were running together; and the other disciple ran ahead faster than Peter and came to the tomb first;
5 and stooping and looking in, he saw the linen wrappings lying there; but he did not go in. 6 And so Simon Peter also came, following him, and entered the tomb; and he saw the linen wrappings lying there,
John 20:
7 and the face-cloth which had been on His head, not lying with the linen wrappings, but rolled up in a place by itself. 8 So the other disciple who had first come to the tomb then also entered, and he saw and believed.

John 20:7
We would look into a darken tomb and we would see empty clothing. That is unusual because a body should be wrapped up. The missing body is Jesus. In the story of Lazarus his body came out wrapped up, and he came out of a dark tomb. Jesus would tell others to unwrap Lazarus

Dear Ms. Irving,
The Brentwood Church of the Nazarene is excited to support the Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE), Eat Smart New York Long Island (ESNYLI) application for the New York State Office of Temporary & Disability Assistance Program for providing SNAP-Ed Nutrition Education & Obesity Prevention programs.
The Church of the Nazarene supports ESNYLI’s comprehensive, multi-faceted nutrition education interventions that have included messages promoting increased physical activity, increased consumption of fruits and vegetables, and decreased consumption of sugar sweetened beverages thereby making healthy choices easier.
Long Island has a very high number of SNAP recipients which is why ESNY SNAP-Ed is so critically important. The nutrition education has been extremely important for our congregation members and the community to improve the church environment to help manage hypertension and obesity while instilling positive life-long behavior change. ESNYLI supported our first ever community garden which not only brought our congregation together but has increased accessibility to fresh vegetables, herbs and fruit. The garden has increased physical activity for families and children at the church through walking club and garden activities. ESNY educators are inspiring and are teaching our members how to eat healthy within their means, sharing easy recipes while using our fresh grown produce.
We look forward to continuing and expanding our current relationship with CCE ESNYLI to collaboratively make a difference in our community. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
God Bless You,

Stone rolled away
Stone rolled away
2 Very early on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb when the sun had risen. 3 They were saying to one another, “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance of the tomb?”
Mark 16:2-3
4 Looking up, they saw that the stone had been rolled away, although it was extremely large.
Mark 16:4
The stone was rolled away, Jesus is risen. If Jesus had not risen we would not be sitting here today and we would not have any hope.
Conclusion: Many of us are going through that valley of the shadow of death, but we can depend on our resurrected Savior to bring us out to the light of a new day. All it takes is for uys to believe in him and develop a relationship with Him.
