Intro - six days later
Many things happen in
Many things happen in
Peter identifies Jesus as the Christ, the Son of God (v. 16)
Jesus is interpreted to be the suffering Savior (v. 21)
Jesus predicts his death and resurrection for the first time (v. 21)
Jesus tells the disciples that some of them will see him in all His Glory
six days later Jesus takes Peter, James, and John with him to the top of Mount Hermon outside of Caesarea Philippi.
The Glory of Christ -
Christ’s appearance went through a dramatic change so that the disciples could see Him in his glory.
The change did not come from an outside source acting on him, it was an external change internally derived.
Christ revealed his glory to the disciples in this instance.
