Discovering Life
CITP: Jesus wanted to show that he had come for all to believe and know the truth.
CISP: Jesus teaches us that he loves all people and came for all.
P: The church will understand they once were lost and must have a heart for the lost people in their lives.
ILL: Broken home life…The moment I found my faith in Christ!
Discovering is a part of human nature. Each of us have discovered something before. Some things such as the new world, electricity, new medicines, New element on the periodic table. No one yet. What about the discovery of God’s overwhelming Love for you?
Question: Do you remember that point in time when you asked God to be the Lord of your life? That moment in time when you know for sure that their was something truly different in your own life! This understanding of being loved.
There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,

WE: are loved by the creator of the world God but at one point we choose to love God back. When we made that decision to love God we all had this feeling of release in our own hearts and minds. The areas of my life that have been hidden no longer need to be closed off because we have a God that we can talk with about those parts of our lives. I know that my Father God in heaven loves me even though I have messed up. We discoverGod has been pursuing us all this time.
T.S: Understand that God pursues those who are lost. Scripture is full of God’s pursuit of the lost and one story recored by the apostle John in the Gospel of John chapter 4. It recounts a story of a Samaritan women that speaks with Jesus and she begins to discover a new life that she could live. The back drop of this story...
but it didn’t stop with just her.

Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.” So when the Samaritans came to him, they urged him to stay with them, and he stayed two days. And because of his words many more became believers.
They said to the woman, “We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world.”
P: The church will understand they once were lost and must have a heart for the lost people in their lives.
The back story to the Samaritan women...
It is the one testimony of that one women that brought the Samaritans out to hear the love of God!
WE: just like this women we have been given a testimony, but what does it mean to have a testimony?

WE: Christ takes all the guilt and says You Have Been Forgiven! Paul speaks from a verse found in the Psalms of David.
And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
“Blessed are those
whose transgressions are forgiven,
whose sins are covered.
Blessed is the one
whose sin the Lord will never count against them.”
A new discovery of LIFE -
ILL: The moment you discover your child has teeth…There are more stages to come.
This is a new discovery of LIFE a wonderful life found in our heavenly Father!
YOU: have started the beginning stages of walking with God. You have been given a new life in Christ Jesus and that is the greatest gift in life. A gift that must be shared with a world that is lost.
You:
WE: now must share our new found LIFE in God. This women who was not respected in her community comes rushing in town and says you have to come listen to this man I just meet…the story of her life. I wonder if she started saying no name he told me about you and me, and…who does this guy think he is?

YOU: and I aren’t the one that does any of the life changing work, it is in the hearer learning of the Love of God for them. Some will believe you and others will question and even reject the truth of Christ.

WE: as we pursue opportunity to invite people into the family of God three keystone questions for an invitation to share Christ...
