Introduction
Lk 23.46
I’m goin’ Home, I’m goin’ Home
I can see the lights of Heaven and I know it won’t be long
There’s a band of angels waitin’ now to sing a welcome song
I’m goin’ Home, I’m goin’ Home
I’m just passin’ through headed for a better land
I’m lookin’ for a city built by God’s own Hand
I’m livin’ in this world but my Home’s beyond the blue
My bags are packed, I’m ready for the move
I’m goin’ Home, I’m goin’ Home
I can see the lights of Heaven and I know it won’t be long
There’s a band of angels waitin’ now to sing a welcome song
I’m goin’ Home, I’m goin’ Home
Could be any day now when I will say goodbye
To earthly pain and sorrow and all the cares of life
I’ve made my reservation, my name is written down
I’ll leave it all when that trumpet sounds.
Song By Booth Brothers
Rev 21.21
Luke reports an extraordinary, cosmic sign that the creation is anguished: darkness.
Creation suffers with Christ in his suffering (Ephrem the Syrian) and mourns for its Lord (Cyril of Alexandria).
The darkness that God allowed to usurp authority over the world at Jesus’ arrest worked death and chaos, and yet it obscures from everyone the deadly wickedness placed upon Jesus.
By the darkness, Christ’s enemies can now see him as he truly is: the Son of God
Jesus had offered forgiveness, spoke of relationships, he converted a thief, experienced silence, he was thirsty and declared it finish.
Understanding in dark times watch the moving hand in your life.

A Cry to God
a single cry brings direction or deliverance instantly.
Many have wondered why there are such powerful results from simply crying out to God, yet the promise is clear:
ps
Characteristics of a Cry
Crying out to God is an act of desperation and total concentration.
It is a fervent expression of faith in God and trust in His goodness and power to act on your behalf.
Crying out to God expresses the following traits:
Genuine humility
It is hard for people to admit that they cannot solve a problem or overcome an obstacle, but it is true that we need God’s help.
He delights in a broken and contrite heart that humbly seeks His aid.
“. . .
He forgetteth not the cry of the humble” (; see also ).
Unconditional surrender
II.
Confidence in God
When a situation becomes so desperate that only God can deliver you, a cry represents total, unconditional surrender.
Don’t try to bargain with God—leave your life in His hands.
“If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me” ().
A plea for mercy
Apart from Christ, we have no value that merits God’s favor.
When driven to a point of despair or destruction, your unworthiness before God often becomes more apparent, and it can motivate you to cry out to Him for mercy.
“It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness” ().
Personal helplessness
Do you tend to believe that you need God’s help with only the really hard things?
Remember, Jesus said, “Without me ye can do nothing” ().
Faith in God’s power and resources
Your cry to God acknowledges God’s ability to do what no one else can do.
During the storm on the Sea of Galilee, the disciples acknowledged Jesus’ power to rescue them when they cried out, “Lord, save us: we perish”(.)
Desperation
Crying out to God is an admission of one’s need for God.
The psalmist declared, “In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears” ().
Examples of God’s Response to Crying Out
The Bible is filled with examples of times when God answered the cries of His people.
Below are a few examples of occasions on which individuals cried out to God and God heard their cries and delivered them:
Elijah cried out, and God revived a dead child:
().
Jehoshaphat cried out, and God delivered him from death:
().
Hezekiah cried out, and God gave him victory:
().
Jesus’ disciples cried out to Him in a storm, and Jesus calmed the sea: ().
“As they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy.
And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish.
Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm” ().
Blind Bartimaeus called to Jesus, and He restored his sight:
“(, ESV).
An Invitation From the Living God
”As children of the living God, our heavenly Father appeals to us to cry out to Him for deliverance.
Let us be quick to cry out to Him with humility, sincerity, and faith.

Confidence in God
Text verse
Jesus started with Father( Father forgive them for they know no what they do)
Jesus is finishing with his Father( Abba) His daddy because they are reconnected.
Being Reconnected because of Intimate relationship you speak with from the depth of your heart, you have openness, there’s vulnerability, and honesty that draws you into a intimate relationship with God .
God the Father cannot have an intimacy with evil/sin or with disobedient Christians.
True intimacy with God begins with drawing near to Him.
Rom
God will never draw near to those who do not draw near to Him and the way to draw near is through Righteousness for those who have been cleansed by the blood of Christ an recieved his righteousness at the cross.
He’s Finishing with his Father cause his Father is the closer.
End with the one who can start you off and finish at the same time.
End with the Father because there is so much uncertainty, times get difficult you need to end with the Father.
Dont know if you are going to have a job, end with the Father, the government continues to be shaky, you may have received a disappointing diagnosis but p end with prognosis of the Father.
Jesus said, Father into Your hands I commit My spirit, show again after all that just took place I’m still in control .
Nobody takes my life but i lay it down.
Jesus had confidence in God’s hand.
