By my count at least 60 benefits:

- On Good Friday – we looked at 3 benefit from Jesus’ Death

TODAY: 3 BENEFITS FROM JESUS’ RESURRECTION

3 THINGS WE KNOW FOR CERTAIN THAT GIVE US HOPE

First thing I know for certain because of resurrection,:

1. JESUS HAS A GREAT PURPOSE FOR MY LIFE

One of the mot imp Q of life: WHAT IS MY PURPOSE?

“My life has a great cast – I just can’t figure out the plot!”

Someone: “I hope life isn’t a joke, because I don’t get it!”

1. Speculation: Guess about your purpose –

Thousands of Self-Help books: Just pick a purpose

Never confuse your purpose w success!

3. Introspection: Try to look within

-Found in New Age books, seminars, a lot of talk shows

Problem! It doesn’t work! (we’ve all tried it)

YOU CAN”T TELL YOURSELF YOUR PURPOSE!

Only One WAY works:

4. Revelation: Ask your Creator to reveal it to you!

It’s the only way you’ll discover why God made you!

2. JESUS HAS A GREAT POWER FOR MY PROBLEMS

The Res. was the most powerful event in history

That power is now available to you!

The Res comes with a promise to you:

“By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, & he will also raise us!” What’s died in your life? Where do you need a resurrection?

Marriage… Career … Energy … Dream … Health … Motivation

a friendship … education … broken heart …

Humans can resuscitate something that’s almost dead

But only God can resurrect what’s died & been buried!

FACT: Some of you are on the edge of giving up… DON’T!

You will never find ultimate hope in anything but God

If you put complete hope in a JOB …. it will let you down

Hope is NOT a PRINCIPLE.. PROGRAM … PILL ..

` HOPE IS A PERSON! “I AM the one”

You need to get to know Jesus!

“Now we live with a wonderful expectation because Jesus Christ rose again from the dead. For God has reserved a priceless inheritance for his children. It is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay. And God, in his mighty power, will protect you until you receive this salvation, because you are trusting him.”

We have HOPE BECAUSE

1, WE KNOW there’s more to the story

2, God protects your salvation- KEPT- cant lose it

It is your Savior’s job to keep you saved! That’s HOPE!

Real test of your beliefs & your hope seen in how you face death

- Having watched people at funerals for 40 yrs..

I’ve seen the despair in the eyes of those who have NO HOPE

the difference is breathtaking

ILL You know, the more of family & friend who are on the other side `of death – the more attractive heaven becomes to me

MOST of you know that 4 yrs ago- the wk after Easter

` Our family lost our youngest son. Worst day of our lives

How did you handle that? LISTEN CAREFULLY

- because you are going have loss in life

To live with hope in the middle of pain, you have to

change your focus... shift your perspective. Live in light of eternity:

screen “So we don't focus on the troubles we see right now; instead we look forward to what we don’t see yet. For the troubles we see now are temporary, but the joys to come will last forever.”
