Ecclesiastes 3:1–8 CEB
There’s a season for everything and a time for every matter under the heavens: a time for giving birth and a time for dying, a time for planting and a time for uprooting what was planted, a time for killing and a time for healing, a time for tearing down and a time for building up, a time for crying and a time for laughing, a time for mourning and a time for dancing, a time for throwing stones and a time for gathering stones, a time for embracing and a time for avoiding embraces, a time for searching and a time for losing, a time for keeping and a time for throwing away, a time for tearing and a time for repairing, a time for keeping silent and a time for speaking, a time for loving and a time for hating, a time for war and a time for peace.
Dear Friends,
We are gathered here today to celebrate the life of Terry Allread.
Let us pray.
O God, you have ordered this wonderful world
and know all things in earth and in heaven.
Give us such faith that by day and by night,
at all times and in all places,
we may without fear commit ourselves
and those dear to us
to your never failing love,
in this life and in the life to come. Amen.

ITHACA — Terry Allread, age 65, of Ithaca, Ohio, formerly of Greenville, passed away Thursday, November 22, 2018, at Rest Haven in Greenville, following a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dana; parents, Howard and Jayne Allread and brother, Craig Allread. He was a 1971 graduate of Greenville High School.
Terry is survived by his son, Nick who is married to Krickett Allread; stepsons, Frank who is married to Rachel Lines, Craig Via and Josh Via and grandsons, Lucas, Brandon and Kaden; sister, Becky who is married to Ken Moore; brothers, his twin, Larry Allread and Doug who is married to Nit Allread, along with numerous other relatives and friends.
Terry was a general roof contractor, he told me he had been on the roofs of several homes in Darke county.
You would often see him on roof, and his beloved Saint Bernard, Ginny, waiting for him on the ground.
He loved Ginny, and told her with him everywhere he went. In fact, he has her portrait painted of his fence at home.
He also delivered newspapers for over 20 years. He would go through the drive through at McDonalds to pick up something for him and Ginny, then off to deliver the news.
He also loved watch Auto Racing, and one time he went to Bristel with Nick, and he looked enough like Si, from Duck Dynasty, that someone yelled across the parking lot, “Hi, uncle Si!”
Terry was also a member of the Darke County Dog Club.
He will be missed by his family and Friends.

Words from his sister Becky.

Psalm 23 KJV 1900
A Psalm of David. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: And I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
Psalm 23
Psalm 23 CEB
A psalm of David. The Lord is my shepherd. I lack nothing. He lets me rest in grassy meadows; he leads me to restful waters; he keeps me alive. He guides me in proper paths for the sake of his good name. Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I fear no danger because you are with me. Your rod and your staff— they protect me. You set a table for me right in front of my enemies. You bathe my head in oil; my cup is so full it spills over! Yes, goodness and faithful love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the Lord’s house as long as I live.
John 14:1–4 KJV 1900
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
Almighty God,
j
into your hands we commend your son, Terry
in sure and certain hope of resurrection to eternal life
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
This body we commit to the ground
earth to earth, ashes to ashes, dust to dust.
Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord.
Yes, says the Spirit, they will rest from their labors
for their deeds follow them.
Gracious God,
we thank you for those we love but see no more.
Receive into your arms Terry,
and grant that increasing in knowledge and love of you,
he may go from strength to strength
in service to your heavenly kingdom;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
The pastor dismisses the people with the following or another blessing:
Now to the One who is able to keep you from falling,
and to make you stand without blemish
in the presence of God's glory with rejoicing,
to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord,
be glory, majesty, power, and authority,
before all time and now and forever. Amen.
