The Cross Exalts

The Cross Exalts Christ (13-20)

He is the first-born from the dead

He was the first-born of all creatures- He was the chosen of God for inheritance

All things were created for him so he must have the preeminence

He reconciles all things to himself

Peace had been made between God and man

Through the cross our purpose in creation has been fulfilled

He is the worthy Lamb of God

The Cross Exalts the Church (21-23)

He reconciles us from our wickedness

We are now part of his kingdom (13)

Sins have been forgiven (1 Corinthians 6:9-11)

He makes us holy and unblameable

Not only does he bring us out of sin but he makes us new

We were in debt now we are made rich
