2:1-My brothers, have no partiality with the faithful in our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory.
2:2-For if a man wearing a gold ring and shining clothes comes into the synagogue and a poor man in filthy clothing also comes in,
2:3-And if you look upon with favor the one who wears shining clothing and say, “You sit here in this place of honor,” while you say to the poor man, “You stand over there,” or “Sit down under my feet.”
2:4-have you not made distinctions among yourselves and become judges of evil thoughts?
2:5-Listen my beloved brothers and sisters, has God not chosen the poor of the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the Kingdom, which he has promised to those who love him?
2:6-But you dishonored the poor.

2:7-Are they not the ones who blaspheme the good name by which you were called?
2:8-However, if you fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You will love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well.
2:9-But if you show partiality, you commit sin and are convicted of the law as transgressors.
2:10-For whoever keeps the whole law, but stumbles in one area, that one is guilty of all.
2:11-For the one who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.”
If you do not commit adultery but do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law.
