Power of His Resurrection

The Promise of Redemption

From Genesis, the promise of mankind’s redemption was given.

We don’t know how much time had passed from the creation of Adam and Eve until the fateful day when they would be deceived.

From Genesis, the promise of mankind’s redemption was given.
The enemy was looking to disrupt the relationship between God and man. He once enjoyed that relationship, it made him feel so special that he confused it for power.
He could see the love in God’s eyes when Adam and Eve were with God. He remembered what is was like to be seen with those eyes, with that love.
We don’t find this in scripture, but based on the nature of God (God is love). I can imagine how Lucifer must have felt in heaven.

His love for man was evident that He searched for Adam and Eve, even after they disobeyed Him.

Adam and Eve hid from God, sin had brought shame into their lives. The first instinct was to hide, not to confess, not to repent.
Next was to defend or justify, blame someone else. The woman, the serpent, serpent must have looked around and no one left.
God was asking, “what have you done?” Did God have to ask why? No! He already knew. What was God after with the question? Excuses, reasons?
His love for man was evident that He searched for Adam and Eve, even after they disobeyed Him.

From Genesis, the promise of mankind’s redemption was given.

; The promise of victory over Satan
Sin required death/blood. The only way to avoid the punishment of sin was something had to die.
Even then, the sacrifice was provided by God. Man has never provided a sacrifice, we take credit for it. We sacrifice things, nothing belongs to us, how can we sacrifice anything.
God provides the lamb to be sacrificed, He provides the cloths.
The whole plan of salvation is right here, Man sins, tries to hide, justify, God provides sacrifice and plan.

Jesus is the Lamb

Prophesied throughout scripture, Jesus fulfills everyone of them.

God provides: For all have sin and come short of the glory of God. There is none righteous not even one. We are saved by grace and not by works.
Man still takes the approach, we hide (we would rather is no God)
We justify: we have a reason for being the way we are, sometimes we even try to force our lifestyle into God’s plan
We can describe the suffering of Jesus, we can go into detail about it. We have in the past. They even made a movie of it, it was so gruesome it was controversial.
His life, His perfection, His righteousness, His love, His mercy. He walked with those that should not be close to Him.
Those that were considered bad, sinful people, He loved them, He ate with them, He shared with them. He was criticized for them.
That’ us, in our moments when our lives are shameful, He is there.
In our moments, when we are in pain, He is there.
When everyone around us is laughing at us, or shaming us or condemning us. He is there reaching out with Love. Waiting for us.
He is looking at you with the eyes of love. The eyes that are calling you by name.
You are loved. You are forgiven.
It doesn’t matter if we are not willing to accept our need for Him.
We are sinners, we need to repent, we need His blood.
There is nothing good in us and He loves us just the same.
We don’t deserve any of it and He is giving it to us, because it is only His to give.

His Resurrection is our redemption

When we accept His love and sacrifice for us, this opens the door to eternal life with Him.
It also empowers me over my life.
When we understand that He died for me and resurrected, I can rest in Him.
I am free from my worries. Doesn’t mean life will be perfect, it just means that He has me in His hands.
I am free from my death. Doesn’t mean I won’t die, it just means, I die when He calls me to be with Him.
Now when Fear comes knocking at my life, I have power to declare that I am a child of God!
When doubt comes and tries to sneak into my mind, I am able to bind all thoughts and bring them to the feet.
When the earth trembled with that great earthquake at His death, something was being shaking. It was because the cloud of sin, of damnation, of destruction that was hanging over you and me was lifted.
Jesus took my sin away, He took away my punishment, He took my disease.
Now I am free! Now I can dance, because He is my joy!
The veil was torn, because I am now made righteous in Him.
The dead resurrected because death is not my defeat! It is my victory!!
