A Gospel Song for the Ages

Colossians 2:9 says it even more explicitly: “For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form.” “Fullness” means that the totality of divine power and attributes is in Christ. “The whole fullness—the full fullness”—Jesus Christ is the “exhaustion of God.” Moreover, the fullness is said to “live in him.” It is not temporary. It was, and is, there to stay.
No more let sins and sorrow grow,
Nor thorns infest the ground;
He comes to make his blessings flow
Far as the curse is found.
