Fear was driving their association
the doors where shut.
the NIV says locked.
the Jews mentioned here are not all Hebrews.
Rather, the Jews mentioned here are the temple authority.
while the Romans executed Jesus it was the religious leaders of the time that wanted Jesus dead.

What can we take from this first verse?
1) The Crucifixion is real and can be trusted.
2) 10 Grown men don’t hide for no reason.
3) Christians (Disciples) are not perfect, Jesus us is perfect! the rest of us are in progress.
I hope that you will find the faith to trust in Christ and His resurrection today!
If you have trusted in Jesus for your salvation, my greater hope is that you will prayerfully consider making this your Church home and be imperfectly purposed with us.
The presence of Christ changes everything
The disciples started this verse in fear and this verse ends with peace incarnate standing in their midst.
I have no clue whats going on in your life today, but I pray that you let Jesus who is peace in to your heart today.

Thomas’s Confession
there is a difference between honest doubt and an excuse.
I don’t think that people who intimidate others in the name of doubt fall into the same category as Thomas.
Jesus knew Thomas's heart, Jesus knew that Thomas was struggling with the reality of the torture that was the cross.
Jesus met Thomas at the place of Honest crisis.
that is exactly where Jesus wants to meet you.
Blessed are those who do not see and yet Believe.
