Resurrection of Jesus Christ
True Christian preaching is centred on the fact that God raised Jesus Christ from the dead so that believers may have victory over sin and death and receive the blessings of eternal life.
The resurrection of Jesus Christ is foretold
In Scripture
(KJV 1900) — 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
notes: If anyone has the opportunity to go to Jerusalem and go to the place (tomb) where Jesus Christ was laid. Jesus isn’t there. In fact no body has resurrected from the tombs only Jesus.
(KJV 1900) — 10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; Neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
(KJV 1900) — 15 But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: For he shall receive me. Selah.
(KJV 1900) — 2 After two days will he revive us: In the third day he will raise us up, And we shall live in his sight.
Notes:
You know if you read the scriptures, nobody really believed that Jesus was going to rise from the dead.
When the ladies are taking spices as it was a custom to do for the dead. they were doing because they didn’t believe Jesus would rise, not even his disciples in which Jesus told them many times. Today we must believe that Jesus will return.
(KJV 1900) — 46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
Notes: Jesus told his disciples everything that was going to happen. Some disciples saw Jesus crucified and others knew he was crucified just as Jesus told them it was going to happen.
(KJV 1900) — 40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
By Jesus Christ
(KJV 1900) — 40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
(KJV 1900) — 21 From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.
Notes: If you believe that Jesus resurrected than we will trust Jesus that for surely he will come again, so we must devote our lives to Jesus.
See also the sign of Jonah; the transfiguration; ; ; ; Jesus Christ clears the temple;
(KJV 1900) — 40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
(KJV 1900) — 22 And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men: 23 And they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised again. And they were exceeding sorry.
(KJV 1900) — 18 Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, 19 And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.
Notes: Our salvation is eternal if we trust Jesus and spread the gospel.
Jesus is the son of God, that’s why we can truly trust in Jesus.
(KJV 1900) — 19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. 20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days? 21 But he spake of the temple of his body. 22 When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.
(KJV 1900) — 16 A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.
The resurrection is preached by the apostles
(KJV 1900) — 33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.
See also ; ; ; ;
(KJV 1900) — 40 Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly; 41 Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.
The certainty of the resurrection
The certainty of the resurrection
These verses particularly stress the physical reality of the risen Christ:
;
(KJV 1900) — 36 And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. 37 But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit. 38 And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? 39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. 40 And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet. 41 And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat? 42 And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb. 43 And he took it, and did eat before them.
The necessity of the resurrection
(KJV 1900) — 17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
Notes: Jesus Christ was beaten horribly,crucified and died on the cross so you can have eternal life, yet we complain that our life is tuff. we worry about what changes my life is going to have if I give my life to Jesus. We start to justify why we shouldn’t be baptized. I was baptized when I was a child or years back and I don’t want people to think bad about me. who cares what people think. What matters is Jesus died for you, he forgives you no matter how duty or unworthly you feel.
STOP RUNNING FORM GOD.

(KJV 1900) — 21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
It provides the power to live for God

(KJV 1900) — 8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, 9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: 10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; 11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.
(KJV 1900) — 20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, 21 Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
The intercession of Jesus Christ depends upon it

Notes: We have absolutely no choice about the kind of nature we possess at birth. it is a sinful nature. If we don’t repent and accept Jesus as our personal savior and get baptized we will continue to be unchanged and it will lead us to eternal death. It’s your time now to give your life to Jesus trust him even if you have to give up your job.
(KJV 1900) — 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
