Bridges BC to AD.

Hebrew calendar - year 5779.
Why divide history at Jesus’ life? (Alexander the Great, 356 BC; Romulus and Remus, 770 BC; Caesar Augustus, 63 BC)
Through history humanity has been searching for meaning.
That meaning is found at the cross! At the empty tomb!
RESURRECTION FOCUS: Because Jesus rose, history is unified in Him.

Unites Men to Men.

Jesus takes very different people and gives us a common purpose.
True in the early church ().
Today there is One faith ().
Today we can have One mind (Ph 2:2).
RESURRECTION FOCUS: This is possible only because Jesus is alive.
The disciples, after Jesus’ death, were scattered like sheep without a shepherd.
His Resurrection united them to one another as they were united with Him.

Reconciles Men to God.

Sin is the root and reason of our separation.
Enemies of God ().
Without Christ, there is no reconciliation.
The Way ().
In Christ, there is true love, compassion, forgiveness - unity.
RESURRECTION FOCUS: Because Jesus rose, we can be reconciled to the Father.

Invitation:

Do you feel adrift?
Is your life full of turmoil?
Are you far from God?
Your meaning...your purpose...your peace...all are found in the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
