Colossians 305 Colossians 305

Colossians 3:1-4

Paul would simply communicate that all that we need is simply and wonderfully is Jesus! Paul was in awe that these precious saints would be so insecure in Jesus that they would allow religious routine ruin what they have in Jesus.

So, as we enter in the Col.3 the apostle will give us some practical instruction on the Truth about Christianity. Let’s take a look at the first 4 verses.

Col.3:1 As Paul opens his instruction you would almost think he was questioning their understanding about their position with Christ. Similar to Col.2:20 the idea is not questioning but affirming their position in Christ. This is Paul’s way of reminding them how wonderful Christ is, which we can keep us from being distracted into living a life where we do not live as if Jesus is enough.

Paul is simply teaching us to keep our heart in heaven. It is a positive lesson.

That is, believers’ lives should be dominated by the pattern of heaven, bringing heavenly direction to their earthly duties.
