The Memory of Samantha Lynn Beers.
Pslam 23:1-6
We are present today to honor the memory of Samantha Lynn Beers, Lynn to her parents and family.
I was told that Lynn was a loving daughter, granddaughter, sister, cousin, and niece.
She loved online gaming, Facebook, and was an avid Razorback fan especially for the football and baseball teams.
She loved animals and had a special love for her cat Bandit.
She loved spending time with her neices and other family members.
She loved the music of the 1980’s, which became a game for her.
If you challenged Lynn, she could name the artist of those songs played.
Working on this service was difficult then most because I never met Lynn in person, But her parents George and Cindy shared some of their fondus memories of Lynn that allow me to see her in another light.
George shared with me a story of her driving her go cart around the yard.
As George told me Lynn had a huge yard to drive it in, but she couldn’t avoid hitting all the trees in the yard.
He said that this seem to trickle down to her adult live driving cars.
Oh how she must have loved driving that go cart.
Cindy Shared with me a story of how she would get on the floor and play Barbie’s with Christina’s girl for hours and never complain.
Death affect family and friends in many different ways.
As humans we don’t understand the question “WHY?” That’s to say, why do people we love and care for die?
And then the grief that follows.
The only answer I can provide from a Biblical point of view, George, Cindy is found in the 3rd Chapter of the Book of Ecclesiastes.
And which tell us, that there is a TIME for everything.
Ecclesia
I know this opens up more questions for you, and everyone here today.
I know you might not like or understand what the Bible says about life and death, but let me further try to help you understand death.
In the Book of James chapter 4 and verse 14 it describes life as a vapour.
James
The Bible tells us that Death is a certainty of Life.
We have an appointment with DEATH!
Hebrews
But Why do we have to die.
To put it simply because of man’s sin and rebellion against God.
The Bible says in the Book of Romans 5: 12
Ro
Romans tells us that we will receive, our wages for our sins is death.
:23
From this verse in the Bible we see that there is a escape from death through Jesus Christ our Lord.
In we are shown that if you know Jesus Christ as your savior.
To die is to be in His presence.
2 corinthians 2
To put it simply: If a person has accepted Jesus Christ as their savior, when they die, they are immediately in the presence of the Lord.
We can see an example of this in the Book of
Not only are you immediately in the Lord’s Presence, you will be carried by angels to meet him.
Angels plural more than one, and that is a sobering thought.
Not only are you immediately in the Lord’s Presence, you will be carried by angels to meet him.
Angels plural more than one.
The Bible also talks about what to expect when we step out into eternity.
Eternity in Heaven is the promise we have from God if we have accepted His Son, Jesus Christ.
Death is a reality.
Though Lynn’s death is a tragedy to us, especially to her parents, family and friends.
Her death does show us that DEATH is Real, We all have an appointment with it.
Death is not prejudice, racist, it doesn’t care about age, young, old, or are worldly views.
You can’t cheat death no matter how hard you try, it’s a fact of life.
If your here today and are unsure of your eternal destination.
Please see me after the services and I will be happy to talk with you.
God gave Everyone living on this world an escape clause from the other alternative eternal destination in .
George, Cindy: I hope this message gives you comfort.
I hope this message gives the family, friends, and guest here today comfort.
Remember in Jesus Christ, Death is not the end, but the beginning!
George, Cindy.
I want to thank you for allowing Friendship Baptist Church to share in the memory of your daughter today.
I know this is a hard time for you both.
I can’t imagine the pain, the feeling of loss, grief, and sorrow you two are feeling.
All I can do is to offer comfort from the Bible.
Please allow me to say, “You don’t have to carry all these burdens alone, trust in the Lord, give Him your burdens.
I have a Bible verse that I use when I’m feeling down, alone, scared, or stressed.
Matthew
Pray.
Lord, Help us to see death as it really is, only a shadow.
Most of all, help us to trust in you Lord, who had experience and understands all mysteries.
Give comfort to George, Cindy, Family, and Friends.
In this time of grief and sorrow.
W
Give them strength and courage to carry on to tomorrow.
We ask all these things in Christ Name.
Amen
