Who Is Jesus To You

Titus 2:11–14 NASB95
For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds.

Colossians 1:15–17 NASB95
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.

Is He Your Great God?

Heb. 1:10-12
Hebrews 1:10–12 NASB95
And, You, Lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the works of Your hands; They will perish, but You remain; And they all will become old like a garment, And like a mantle You will roll them up; Like a garment they will also be changed. But You are the same, And Your years will not come to an end.”
He is the Creator, and Sustainer of life
Exodus 3:13–14 NASB95
Then Moses said to God, “Behold, I am going to the sons of Israel, and I will say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you.’ Now they may say to me, ‘What is His name?’ What shall I say to them?” God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM”; and He said, “Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’ ”
Exodus 14:19 NASB95
The angel of God, who had been going before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud moved from before them and stood behind them.
Exodus 23:20–21 NASB95
“Behold, I am going to send an angel before you to guard you along the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared. “Be on your guard before him and obey his voice; do not be rebellious toward him, for he will not pardon your transgression, since My name is in him.

John 8:58 NASB95
Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.”

Jesus Our Savior

Song - Why did my savior come to earth
Angels we heard on high
Luke 1:11 NASB95
And an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing to the right of the altar of incense.
Luke 2:11 NASB95
for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
We needed a Savior, a rescuer, a deliverer
we were separated from God and without hope
those that were there at the triumphal entry of Jesus were shouting Hosanna
Matthew 21:9 NASB95
The crowds going ahead of Him, and those who followed, were shouting, “Hosanna to the Son of David; Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest!”
Hosanna - save us please I pray
Jesus = Heb. yeshua (Joshua) = salvation
Matthew 1:21 NASB95
“She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”
Luke 19:10 NASB95
“For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”
in order for him to be our savior God had to become flesh and blood
Jesus was a flesh and blood
Titus 2:11 NASB95
For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men,
Hebrews 2:9 NASB95
But we do see Him who was made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone.
Heb. 2:
John 1:14 NASB95
And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.
Heb. 2:
Hebrews 2:11 NASB95
For both He who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are all from one Father; for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren,
Hebrews 2:14 NASB95
Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,
Hebrews 2:18 NASB95
For since He Himself was tempted in that which He has suffered, He is able to come to the aid of those who are tempted.
Heb. 2:
He became on of us, called us brothers, he became life me (flesh and blood) so that he could live like me and feel like me a deal with temptation like me
Hebrews 5:7–9 NASB95
In the days of His flesh, He offered up both prayers and supplications with loud crying and tears to the One able to save Him from death, and He was heard because of His piety. Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from the things which He suffered. And having been made perfect, He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation,
Hebrews 4:15 NASB95
For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.
:5-11
Philippians 2:5–11 NASB95
Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
rescue us from guilt of sin so he became human to have a body
Hebrews 10:5 NASB95
Therefore, when He comes into the world, He says, Sacrifice and offering You have not desired, But a body You have prepared for Me;

By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
if he didn’t have a body he couldn’t be our savior, he had to have flesh and blood be fatigued challenged
Luke 2:40 NASB95
The Child continued to grow and become strong, increasing in wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him.

Jesus Our King

Christ = anointed one = king

You remember when Samuel came to anoint David at Jesse’s house? David became the Lord’s Christ = anointed one.
Jesus is the one whom God has chosen to become king, He is the Lord’s anointed, the Christ

Psalm 2:6–7 NASB95

When was Jesus anointed?
Acts 10:38 NASB95
You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.
just like their were years inbetween David anointment and pronouncment as king so ther was with jesus
John 18:33 NASB95
Therefore Pilate entered again into the Praetorium, and summoned Jesus and said to Him, “Are You the King of the Jews?”
John 18:36–37 NASB95
Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, then My servants would be fighting so that I would not be handed over to the Jews; but as it is, My kingdom is not of this realm.” Therefore Pilate said to Him, “So You are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say correctly that I am a king. For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.”
John 18:36-37
John 19:15 NASB95
So they cried out, “Away with Him, away with Him, crucify Him!” Pilate said to them, “Shall I crucify your King?” The chief priests answered, “We have no king but Caesar.”
John 19:19–20 NASB95
Pilate also wrote an inscription and put it on the cross. It was written, “JESUS THE NAZARENE, THE KING OF THE JEWS.” Therefore many of the Jews read this inscription, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city; and it was written in Hebrew, Latin and in Greek.
Acts 2:36 NASB95
“Therefore let all the house of Israel know for certain that God has made Him both Lord and Christ—this Jesus whom you crucified.”
