Marrying Generations

Linda Eberle told be to give the elders something to do and people to care for.
I was then in the middle of creating a discipleship to help the old and young come together as on generation.
I have been trying to figure it out and I just realized I don’t have to figure this out on my own.
I am somewhat of an overseer. I see the challenges of this.
The young need to learn to want something from a generation they don’t seem to want anything from.

Revelation 4:4 NASB95
4 Around the throne were twenty-four thrones; and upon the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white garments, and golden crowns on their heads.
A grey head is a crown

Elder. Person who, by virtue of position in the family, clan, or tribe; or by reason of personality, prowess, stature, or influence; or through a process of appointment and ordination, exercised leadership and judicial functions in both religious and secular spheres in the ancient world, both among biblical and nonbiblical peoples. The roots of the development of the presbytery (group of elders) in the NT and postapostolic church originate in Judaism and the OT, though the figure of the elder or groups of elders can also be found in the world surrounding ancient Israel and in the Greco-Roman world of the NT period.

Acts 20:28 NASB95
28 “Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.
1 ti 5:17
1 Timothy 5:17 NASB95
17 The elders who rule well are to be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who work hard at preaching and teaching.
tt 1:5
Titus 1:5–9 NASB95
5 For this reason I left you in Crete, that you would set in order what remains and appoint elders in every city as I directed you, 6 namely, if any man is above reproach, the husband of one wife, having children who believe, not accused of dissipation or rebellion. 7 For the overseer must be above reproach as God’s steward, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not addicted to wine, not pugnacious, not fond of sordid gain, 8 but hospitable, loving what is good, sensible, just, devout, self-controlled, 9 holding fast the faithful word which is in accordance with the teaching, so that he will be able both to exhort in sound doctrine and to refute those who contradict.
