FINGERPRINTS OF HELPING OTHERS

Matthew 6:1–4 NKJV

“Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven. Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.

Main Idea: God desires for our fingerprints to be evident in the lives of others.

Key Question: What kind of evidence is left in the lives of those around you?

1. Helping fingerprints are active. (v. 1)

Matthew 6:1 NKJV

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

2. Helping fingerprints are a result of a motivation. (v. 1)

3. Helping fingerprints are rewarded. (v. 1)

4. Helping fingerprints are discrete. (v. 2-4)
