Ezekiel looked at a group of elders who were feeling condemned and forsaken, and who were looking at the wrong place for hope. His job was to tell them to look to God for hope – a God who would meet them where they were at and be a sanctuary for them. Does our witness leave people feeling shameful and hopeless? We need to be the place where people are accepted and led to put their hope in God.
