In this passage, Jesus isn't rebuking "Doubting" Thomas. What would it benefit if Jesus was rebuking him? Instead, Jesus' teaching moment to Thomas and the others is that they'll go out and preach the message of the Good News. We are to do likewise by bearing the Fruit of the Spirit.
