Why believer’s face suffering? And what is our solution?
1) Suffering is common for a believer – &
It is like the two sides of a coin – if you are a believer along with your faith you will have suffering. From the Bible teaches that these things will enable the believers to grow and continue in faith.
2) Man is born for suffering – the bible says in the book of and 14:1 that man is born for suffering.
The bible points out man will face trouble and we will find rescue in God. The joy in our suffering is our hope in Christ, and moreover the prayers which we do together and the songs we sing helps us to analyse who God is to our lives and this gives us a lot of assurance. This can’t be replaced by anything on earth by pilgrimage, donations, devotions.
Sufferings and its solutions?
1) – God’s name to be glorified
Lazarus life we learn – we see the intimacy of Jesus with his family through the conversations. This story and life teaches, several things, we can also ask a question, so close you are to Jesus and still problems, why God, we are always curious. Jesus reminds us through this story that we have to learn from Mary and Martha, suffering shows God’s glory and the sign of hope given to God’s children. Dear believers let me say like this what is happening in our lives is a sign of the glory of God and this is a sign of testimony.
2) – Man reaps what he sows
Dear brothers and sisters, being a believer in Christ, we need to examine, where and what we invest in our spiritual lives, being a believer in Christ one has to examine, what he or she does as a Christian, matters a lot. Being a believer one person has to look on how he maintains his spiritual life in Christ, shall we read this beautiful passage helps us to look at the voice of Jesus once you are saved from sin you need to examine how you maintain your Christian lives with purity and in holiness.
Coming to church participating in all the meetings being at all occasions it is good but dear brothers and sisters is all good but God mainly looks at your inward life. Dear believers please look at when you have time, this passage is a clear examination of the life of David of how close he is to God the Almighty, the background of this Psalm is when David committed a sin with Bathsheba, he did this in secret but God exposed his sin and punished him for his mistake. Let me say like this brothers and sisters, me being a evangelist I need to deeply examine my personal life, how I work in my personal life, how I preserve my holiness, as God values your holiness.
3) – God allows our suffering
The book of Job teaches us to aim our Christian lives waiting for God to act on our lives. Dear brothers and sisters, we learn how God takes care of Job during sufferings – from here we learn how God explicitly desires for our testimony because God declares this in front of the devil.
4) Consider suffering as a matter of discipline
Dear brethren please look at this time in prayer, when we suffer in our lives we need to examine where have we gone wrong are there any mistakes in our personal lives. Just like a father corrects his child when he does a mistake, in the same manner God makes us pass through suffering to discipline and correct us. How we change and transform our lives is what matters? We discipline someone because we love him, we need to understand when we go through a tough time, remember the God who is at work.
– walk in the ways of God
5) – Money the root of all evil
We are all here to make money, anyone here not to earn money. Dear brethren, forgetting God and living a life only with money, God is going to punish us. Let us remember the life of Abraham and Lot; Gehazi and Namaan; Achan from the book of and 7.
How to respond to our sufferings? A believers response to suffering
1) Be able to bear it
Wait for God’s time, with patience and understand that God is in sovereign control. Our maker, God who is in control of our lives. He will provide us a way.
2) my benefit and to obtain the holiness of God
In our Christian lives, when we progress forward we need to understand, as individuals we need to work aiming for the holiness of God and God will help us and fulfil all our needs.
3) Pray for the wisdom to understood, what God is doing.
During this tough times, when we struggle on this earth dear brethren I encourage you to please ask God for wisdom, to see through suffering. Dear brethren this helps you to move forward our Christian lives with joy and with hope.
May His name be glorified!
