Great actions do not grant strength enough to continue

Elijah just had killed 450 Baal’s prophets at Carmel. However it was an expressive victory over God’s enemies, he was not sure about his own life.

vv. 1-3

vv. 1-3
Curiously, after the Carmel’s confront Jezebel still undaunted, in other hand upon receiving Jezebel’s threaten of death Elijah became afraid of her.
God demonstrated His exclusive power.
A message was sent because she avoided to confront Elijah in person.
“May the gods (Baal Shemayim or all the Baals) deal with me...”
As surely as you are Elijah (‘My God is Yah’) and I am Jezebel (‘Where is Baal?’).
Leaving the servant behind in Judah means a reconsideration of his mission and call. He wanted to face God alone.

V. 4

God’s plan always shows itself higher.
We only are a fail when we are not with Him.
