Personal Observations:
v. 1-3, The introduction declares God’s relation to Zion
What is the significance of this?
v. 1, YHWH is great
v. 4-6, other rulers bear no chance of prevailing over God
v. 7, armies of the sea are blown away
v. 8, hearing and seeing from the holy city, they know God will preserve and take care of the city forever.
v. 9, the hesed of God is the focus of their thoughts
v. 10, God’s presence is everywhere (His praise, like His name, is to the ends of the earth; His right hand alone is full of righteousness
v. 11, Let Zion and Judah rejoice in the judgments of God
v. 12-14, anyone is offered to walk about and throughout Zion to “tell it to the next generation,” for such is God, who will guide His people until the day they die
