What about Joy?
Have you ever forgot something really important?
God has set us apart.
—> Have you ever forgotten why you worship God?
—> God has set us apart.
We are not in the depths.
—> Worship for God isn’t for those that don’t know Him.
—> We can’t assume worship.
Everyone doesn’t get it and that’s ok.
—>
—> There are times we physically can’t worship and that’s ok.
The key is to not make these moments of pain into life times.
—> Why is it worth the pain and the anguish because of the end result.
Because of what comes after.
—> I’ve never had a baby personally.
But I know that
—> Anger, pain, hurt, all these things are temporary, seasonal, of a moment.
It is the joy that lasts, because it is the joy we dwell on and God’s joy we dwell in.
:6-
—> (6) There is this innate call in us to think we can handle life on our own.
—> (7) you give me strength and when you hide your face I have nothing.
—> (9) But if you don’t help I’ll die and then I can’t praise you.
It is still focused on us and giving us the power.
—> (10) Almost realizing that he wasn’t necessary, that he wasn’t essential for life David relents and focuses again on God.
—> This, I think, is the hardest thing about Christianity, acknowledging that we aren’t God and aren’t essential for life on this earth.
—> do we make the world better as Christians?
Yes!
—> Does God love us?
Yes!
—> Does God need us?
No!
—> Its ok to feel this way...
—> Its not ok to stay that way.
Psalm 30:
What reason do you have to give thanks?
Are you alive?
Give thanks!
